1. The training programme was conducted at travelers bungalow, Thiruppour.On 23rd and 24th June 2006 , conducted by Thiru . Ravi an educationalist from Madanapalle. The details and list of 17 participants who attended the training programme is enclosed here with .

1. To begin with , he taught the definition of language and the technique of Teaching language using activities.

1. When the children study they forget , when they see they remember and understand. Based on this he taught the activity based learning concept on reading , writing , speaking and listening .

1. He segmented reading and writing, as literary skills, speaking and listening as non literary skills, and emphasized that all these four are inter – related for up-grading the language skills.

1. Again he re-segmented, writing and speaking, as productivity skills. The writing skill is produced through finger, speaking skill is produced through throat and tongue by voice.

1. He segmented reading and listening as receptive skills and explained the listening by demonstrating . Questions, Stories, Rhymes. Ups and downs of songs, and conversations.

1. As regards speaking with meaning the children should be able to speak words sentences and ask questions and re-tell stories and should be able to speak before in public freely and fearlessly.

1. Regarding reading , the children should be able to understand words, sentences, stories and songs. To demonstrate the importance of handwriting , he gave illustrations of two line and four line writings. Different handwriting should be understood by the children ; they should read any handwriting and understand their words, sentences and paragraphs. They should be able to express their ideas and thoughts through writing. Above all, they should go through the process of writing in correct shape, size and spacing.

1. During the training the activity based learning has been emphasized and many practical exercises have been done on science and Mathematic. How to teach Mathematic using activities, and helping children understand concepts. As such a Human bone parts printed on a drawing paper has been cut separately, assembled and stretched as a whole human skeleton from skull to foot, which was much interesting.

1. To gear up the children to be innovative and search for new ideas and mood. A candle test was also been conducted.

A ignited candle is put – off when it is covered by a transparent cover due to the lack of oxygen , has been demonstrated logically. A few others paper cuttings, joining and stretching the limes and legs with the body of a human picture with movements like gymnastics, are enjoyable activity based learning .

A group discussion were also held and the doubts of the teachers regarding teaching techniques had also been clarified, that how to bring the attention of the children. On the whole, this training is much more useful to the teachers to teach the discipline as well as subjects to the children.
