Prior to registration night!!

  • You will need to go to and register each child that is going to participate in hockey this year. Print out the confirmation form and bring with you to hockey registration. Your son/daughter will not be able to participate without this. Cost is $50 per player ($40 for USA Hockey, $10 for Minnesota Affiliation). 2012 birth year and younger still need to register, but they are not charged this fee.

Registration night:

  • A check will need to be made out to Eveleth-Gilbert Rec Department for Hockey Registration. These fees are used to pay for the coaches and most of the ice time.
  • Bantams$100
  • Peewees/12U$100
  • Squirts/10U$100
  • Mites$60
  • Mini-Mites $60
  • If your son/daughter is playing at the Squirt/Peewee/Bantam level, you will need to make a check out to EGYHA for tournament/gate fees. These checks will be cashed by October 1st. We cover the cost of any jamborees that the Mites play in. The fees listed below are per player:
  • Bantam$60
  • Peewee/12U$60
  • Squirt/10U$30
  • Jersey Deposit:
    We have issues every year with jerseys not getting returned, that is why there is a need for a jersey deposit. These checks will be cashed on March 15, 2019 if your player’s jerseys are not turned in. Once the jerseys are returned to the equipment manager, you will receive your deposit check back.
  • Mites:$100 deposit check
  • Squirt/10U levels and above$150 deposit check

Fundraising:

  • Cash calendar: We will have cash calendar ticket booklets at registration for each family to take to sell. These tickets are very popular. They usually sell quite fast. More information will be handed out at registration.
  • EGYHAElks 4 wheeler raffle fundraiser: This annual event is held the day after Thanksgiving at the Eveleth Elks, November 23rd. Mark your calendar! This is a fun night out for parents and a great way to support youth hockey! We will be forming a committee to help with this event. Contact a board member if you would like to help.
  • Canteen/DIBS: Another huge fundraiser for our organization is our canteen. We will be using DIBS (an online system through our website) to track volunteer hours. There will be volunteer hours available for the following: Clock/Announcer, Books/Stats, Canteen
    Required DIBS Volunteer Hours per player:
  • Mites: 10 hours
  • Squirts and older: 15 hours

**DIBS hours will be capped at 20 hours per family

DIBS Deposit: A deposit of $300 is required at registration. If your required volunteer hours are not completed by February 28, 2019, your check will be deposited.There is a buyout option if you prefer to not cover your required volunteer hours. If you would like to choose the buyout option, complete the buyout form at registration and your $300 check will be cashed on October 1st.

Home Tournaments:
If you have a son/daughter on one of the teams listed below, please plan on spending extra time at the Hipp that weekend. In addition to the positions available in DIBS, there are additional volunteering needs during home tournaments such as penalty box, raffle table, etc that will need to be filled. Our home tournament dates are as follows:

  • Bantam A November 30 – December 2
  • PeeWee A January 18 - 20
  • Squirt BFebruary 1 - 3
  • MiteFebruary 22 - 24

PeeWee B and Bantam B home tournaments will be held at the Hoyt Lakes Arena. Parents will need to volunteer to assist with all the work that goes into the tournaments.
