Job Title / Partnership Development Manager
Job Purpose / In conjunction with the Chief Executive, work to develop the broadening of the Corporate Partnership & Individual Membership programme by account managing key fundraising relationships with current partners and converting prospective partners from trade sectors and drinks companies not yet penetrated by the charity
Reports to / Chief Executive
Liaison with / CEO and Finance Manager and Marketing & Communications Manager

Principal Responsibilities:

Develop and implement an augmented Corporate Partnership and Individual Membership engagement, recruitment and retention strategy.

·  Seek to stretch and grow partnerships by developing a gap analysis and prioritised list of prospective new corporate partners from all drinks trade sectors, especially the brewing and cider making sectors.

·  Assist with achieving the target of doubling the number of corporate partners within three years.

·  Responsible for the stewardship of the relationships with, and the retention of, the current 86 existing drinks companies who are corporate partners with The Benevolent in order to ensure continued or higher annual donations.

·  Prepare and occasionally present tailor-made executive presentations and proposals to senior management of prospective and existing corporate partners.

·  Working with the Marketing & Communications Manager, develop and launch a new Individual Membership programme to encourage more engagement with and take up of, the membership programme from employees of the drinks industry. Assist with the target of doubling the number of Individual Members in three years.

·  Positon with HR, CSR & EAP professionals within leading drinks companies to ensure full communication of the programme.

·  Working with the Marketing & Communications Manager, design and create a legacy giving leaflet that can be distributed to the HR & Pensions departments of drinks companies and other relevant trade membership bodies directed at retiring employees.

·  Identify and submit proposals to any relevant charitable trusts and foundations that may be inclined & positioned to donate grants to The Benevolent.

·  Identify any drinks company family trusts that exist and submit proposals for donations.

Develop and implement a fundraising strategy with income generated from Benevolent-run events and additional fundraising from drinks company initiatives.

·  Prepare and manage an annual budget for income to be generated from fundraising events and initiatives.

·  Identify which flagship events should be run by The Benevolent and manage the out-sourcing of event management.

·  Ensure a high level of engagement, support and sponsorship from corporate partners regarding any Benevolent-organised events.

·  Accountable for the expansion and management of the Benevolent Ambassador programme and, working with Marketing & Communications Manager, ensure the Ambassadors promote the uptake and adoption of the Fundraising Toolkit.

·  Accountable for persuading UK drinks companies to devise & implement their own fundraising events on behalf of The Benevolent and develop a programme to maximise the engagement of the Regional Wine & Spirit Associations and increase the current fundraising from their members

·  Responsible for the roll-out the ‘£1-per-order’ initiatives with UK logistics companies and develop other similar programmes in other relevant trade sectors.

Assist with promoting the full engagement and adoption by drinks companies of the ‘Here to Help’ campaign.

·  Become engaged and positioned with all the relevant membership organisations and trade bodies such as the BII, SIBA, BBPA, NACM, ALMR, UKBG, and the UKVA etc as well as the appropriate Livery Companies to ensure ‘Here to Help’ messaging is distributed.

·  Working with the Marketing & Communications Manager, ensure all drinks companies circulate the ‘Here to Help’ messaging by becoming positioned with the appropriate HR, Internal Comms, Corporate Affairs and management staff of those drinks companies.

Other

·  Be prepared to support administrative tasks relating to the running of the charity including any activities relating to events run by out-sourced event companies

·  Be prepared to answer day-to-day phone enquiries, including calls from existing and new beneficiaries.

·  Support the Marketing & Communications Manager with the timely and accurate maintenance of the Harlequin CRM database.

·  Support the Finance Manager with budget development.

·  Other duties as assigned
