We are recruiting candidates for our English teaching staff. We currently have an opening in our Faculty of Commerce and Management’s Department of Languages for one English instructor to begin work in July 2014.
The Prince of Songkla University (PSU) System is a well established and respected University in southern Thailand. PSU, Trang Campus is a fairly new university in the system and has two faculties, Commerce and Management and Architecture, offering a wide array of classes for our students in areas including Fine Arts, Tourism Management, Accounting, Architecture, and Business English, among other subjects. PSU, Trang Campus’ location in scenic Trang Province offers our faculty, staff, and students with an excellent opportunity to learn and live in southern Thailand’s beautiful countryside. Many courses are taught in English by foreign staff who live either in nearby Trang city or on campus.
We are interested in hearing from native English speakers currently living in their home countries or abroad, including those who are living here in Thailand. Minimum educational requirements for this position are that you must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (English or TESL/TEFL preferable) and have a teaching certificate and some teaching experience. Master’s or Doctoral degrees in related fields (TESOL, TESL/TEFL, Applied Linguistics, etc.) are preferred.
This position offers excellent working conditions with a salary of 30,000 baht per calendar month and work permit fees are paid by the university. Benefits also include a comfortable on-campus furnished two-bedroom apartment with TV, microwave, washing machine, hot water shower, and free Wi-Fi Internet. Our apartments are rent-free and only a short walk from our classrooms, learning and recreational facilities, and cafeteria.
Many people have chosen to live and work in Trang because it is a very pleasant mid-sized city with an excellent climate and has many restaurants, scenic areas, beautiful beaches and islands to visit in your free time. We are only a few hours from Hat Yai, Krabi, Phuket, and other tourist spots and places of interest.
