5/6 / Reading and writing 2c / Hi Five / Up to 3 children working 4 times a week for 20 minutes on a reading and writing programme using reciprocal guided reading followed by drafting and editing. One x 50 minute session with three x 20 minute sessions weekly.
Based on a synthetic phonic approach and the psychology of learning. Programme aims to develop a teaching assistant in a role as a “Reading Coach” / A 3 stage programme, each stage lasting 6-8 weeks / Teaching assistant or teacher once training is completed. Training is provided as part of programme materials / Assessment in each of 3 stages of programme
