This innovative technology converts compressed air to 99.5% Nitrogen. Because Nitrogen is anhydrous (meaning without moisture) the painting process becomes much more constant than with compressed air which varies in moisture content and temperature throughout the day. With the Nitrotherm Technology the coating process produces a higher quality finish and allows the finish process to be standardized and controlled.
The Nitrotherm technology also controls the temperature from 80 to 176 degrees allowing the coating to be applied without reducers and at a lower pressure. In addition the technology uses ionization to create a positive charge in the nitrogen being sprayed so the material is now attracted to the object being finished. The result is a coating that has increased mill build, increased transfer efficiency with less shrinkage.
