Nominations are called for Representative Coaches for 2017 Rep Teams.

Interested Coaches will be required to attend various trial and training sessions –

(Representative Program for 2017 will be available as soon as possible and emailed to nominees)

Nominations for more than 1 position will be considered.

Minimum coaching qualification required is:
Junior/Senior: AANA Foundation level.
SEQ: AANA Development level. / Please provide details of formal coaching, selecting and first aid qualifications you have obtained (all sports)
Coaching / Selector Experience: / Please advise coaching/selection experience in previous 2 years – at school, club, representative or higher level.

DUTY STATEMENT - Coaches

Responsible to:

·  The RNA management Committee, through the Representative and Coaching and Development Coordinators.

Purpose:

·  To work within the direction, philosophy and guidelines of the RNA Management Committee, as outlined in the Association’s Constitution and By Laws to develop competitive representative players and teams.

Key Selection Criteria:

·  Junior and Senior team coaches must hold at a minimum a current AANA Foundation qualification. Coaches will be considered where the Management Committee believe they have the required skills, experience and who have given an undertaking to gain the required qualifications at the first available course.

·  SEQ team coaches must hold at a minimum a current AANA Development qualification. Coaches with a current AANA Foundation qualification will be considered where the Management Committee believe they have the required skills, experience and who have given an undertaking to gain the required qualifications at the first available course.

·  Demonstrated skills and knowledge of the concepts and practices of coaching the sport of netball.

·  Proven coaching record and relevant statement of experience.

·  Demonstrated ability to provide leadership within a team environment and work amicably with other team officials.

·  Holder of current Government Working with Children (Blue Card) or willingness to apply for one before 1st December 2016.

·  Current membership of Queensland Netball Association Inc.

·  Indicate a willingness to pursue further coaching development opportunities.

Duties - the Coach shall:

·  Attend the Squad Trial Sessions and assist with advice regarding player selection where required.

·  Be willing to work with another appointed coach in the selected age group

·  Plan and conduct training sessions for your team in conjunction with other appointed representative coaches and the RNA Coaching and Development Coordinator.

·  Provide training program details to the RNA Coaching and Development Coordinator if requested.

·  Liaise with Representative Coordinator, Coaching and Development Coordinator regarding injured players and/or alterations to the team throughout the season.

·  Communicate any requirements regarding training, equipment, uniforms, transportation, accommodation, or matters pertaining to team players that may need executive input to resolve; and for any matter, pertaining to the teams training and or participation which cannot be successfully resolved at coach/manager level.

·  Report to the Representative Coordinator on results of games – lead up carnivals and State Events.

·  Provide the Representative Coordinator with detailed Player Reports for each player – on the form to be provided, prior to the Representative Presentation function.

·  Be available to attend all compulsory carnivals nominated by the Association during the season and Presentation function.

·  Support all fundraising activities throughout the season.

·  Adhere to the Netball Queensland Code of Conduct. Show duty of care to players in RNA care and charge.

·  Sign out all equipment provided to you by RNA and return all equipment in good condition and be willing to sign back in on return.

If not already supplied please include copies of relevant qualifications and statement of experience with nomination.

The RNA Management Committee reserves the right to consider a coach based on their level of experience

and willingness to undertake further development.

Term of Appointment: From time of appointment through to the conclusion of the Representative Presentation function.
