Letter of Interest, Seeking Sponsor’s for PVYFCA season of 2017
The Prescott Valley Youth Football and Cheer Association, Inc. (PVYFCA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, corporation tax #20-4626369 that has been in operation since 2006. PVYFCA is a youth sports organization dedicated to the youth in the Prescott Valley Community through youth tackle football & cheerleading. As a competitive member of the Northern Arizona Youth Football, PVYFCA continues to operate under the American Youth Football organization and its by-laws. The association’s goals are to provide Northern Arizona’s youth a responsible and safe environment for developing football and cheer skills.
Through the many years of existence, Prescott Valley Youth Football and Cheer Association’s mission remains clear; Prescott Valley Youth Football and Cheer Association (PYFCA) is a non-profit organization aimed at giving the youth (grades 1 - 8) of our area a chance to participate in an ALL play Football and Cheerleading program. Our focus is on helping our youth build Character, Sportsmanship, Self-Confidence and Learn Responsibility & Teamwork in a competitive environment while gaining a strong sense of community. PVYFCA provides a structured, safe and secure environment for the children to learn these life skills. PVYFCA is run solely by volunteers. Our volunteers generously give of themselves to provide an outstanding environment for youth to participate in two remarkable sports. The season stretches over five months from late July to November of each year, while association operations carry on year round.
PVYFCA has one club, the Bears, that works to develop youth athletes to become successful. Our coaches are well trained and have worked with successful high school coaches. We strive to provide our youth athletes with the terminology and philosophy that will be used at the high school level in order to guide them to success when they transition from our youth program into a high school program. By teaching the youth of today the same terminology and philosophy used at the high school level, we are building tomorrows successes.
The association’s participation numbers have grown to over 100 area youth playing football and cheering, it has truly become a staple of the community. We have kids that depend on football and cheer for the fun, exercise, team building while others see it as a hope for a different future with a basis of hard work and dedication learned now that will be needed in the future. The benefits of youth athletics are well documented with internalizing the importance of winning, bouncing back from a loss to win in the future, learning how to perform within time limits, learning how to succeed in stressful situations, and being able to perform under the gaze of others.
Like many non-profit organizations, operating costs continue to be a challenge. The association has equipment costs, uniform costs and business expenses to cover each and every year. PVYFCA is soliciting area businesses for assistance with financial sponsorships. Contributions of any amount are greatly appreciated. We also offer four (4) tier levels for contributions that consist of Platinum ($1000), Gold ($750), Silver ($500) and Bronze ($250).
