2. Team up with another student (or two if you’d like) in this class. You will need to work with at least one other student in this class to complete the tasks indicated.

3. Use Outlook help along the way if you get stuck.

A. Email

Task #1 – Sending and Receiving mail:

B. After you have received emails from your email partner, reply to just the sender with a “Thanks I got it message”. Be sure to make it a reply to their message not a separate new message.

C.. When you receive their “Thank you” message that should be attached to your original message”, forward this entire message to me at: :

The subject should be: BUS169 Outlook – A Forwarded Message

D. Next while viewing their “Thank you” message, use the File/Print menu option to print this email message to turn in with your assignment.

Task #2 – Sending an Attachment:

A. You created a“Surf’s Up” Flyer in chapter 1 of Word. Find it on your personal storage device and then email it to me as an attachment in the following email:

Attached is the Adventure Flyer that I created earlier this quarter. This message demonstrates that I understand how to send a message and an attachment.

Task #2 – Print Contacts

Select the Business Card view then perform a screen shot (alt+printscreen) so that all of your contacts are shown in business card view.

Paste the screenshot into Word and Print. You will need to turn in this print out with your assignment.

Task #3 – Distribution List (aka a New Contact Group)

Create a new contact group and name it Friends. Place two of your fellow students’ in this distribution list.

Send the following email, click the TO: phrase when addressing it, and select your Friends distribution list as the group you’d like to send this message to and cc: me at: :

C. Calendar

Task #1: Import the “BUS169 Make It Right Calendar.pst” file by following these steps.

  1. Download the BUS169 Make it Right Calendar.pst file from our class website and save it on your I: drive
  2. Login to your Outlook account
  3. Click the Folders option at the bottom of the navigation pane. The click on Calendar.
  4. Click File/ Open & Export.
  5. Click Import/Export
  6. Click “Import from another program or file” and then click the Next button
  7. Select Outlook Data File (.pst) and then click the Next button
  8. Click the Browse button in the Import Outlook Data File dialog box and then navigate to the location where the BUS169 Make it right Calendar.pst file is located.
  9. Select the BUS169 Make it right Calendar.pstfile and then click the Open button. Then click Next.
  1. In the “Select the folder to import from” box, click the expand icon next to Outlook Data file and select the BUS169-Make It Right Calendar

  1. Select the “Import items into the same folder” option button
  2. Click the Finish button.
  3. Now Click the BUS169-Make It Right Calendar and click the Calendar icon in the navigation pane to go to your calendar.

Task #2: Perform the following tasks

  1. Display the Make IT Right Calendar in the Outlook Calendar window.
  2. While adding a dentist appointment to the calendar, you inadvertently recorded the appointment time as 2:00am instead of 2:00pm. Edit the appointment on Dec. 7, 2017 and change the Start time to 2:00pm. Also modify the appointment so that it lasts 1 hour instead of 2 hours.
  3. There is a Yoga class scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017. Change the appointment to reflect the Yoga class meeting every Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00pm starting Dec 14th, 2017. And make it a recurring appointment through the end of January 2018.
  4. Your condo association board meeting has modified its meeting schedule to meet on the second Monday of each month instead of on the 10th of each month. Update the calendar to reflect this change. Hint: Double-click on the appointment, select the “entire series” and then click “recurrence”.
  5. An appointment on Dec. 12 2017 has been added to your calendar two times with the same start time and end time. Remove one of these appointments from the calendar.
  6. Print the calendar for the Month of Dec 2017.

Task #3: Perform the following tasks

  1. Create a new calendar named School Calendar (Get into the Calendar in Outlook, Home/Open Calendar/Create New Blank Calendarand enter its name: School Calendar. Enter the following calendar items:
