General Summary of Position Responsibility:
The Clinical InformaticsProjectCoordinator provides day-to-day responsibility for coordinating and integrating clinical information into practice. Through their functions the project coordinator accelerates the benefit and improvements available from the various applications utilized by clinical staff.
Essential Job Functions:
- Leads the clinical coordination and maintenance of selectedclinical applications including but not limited to QuadraMed and Onestaff, and other assigned applications.
- Updates and monitors internal Clinical Portal resource sites (i.e. manuals, policy and procedure).
- Coordinates the lifecycle maintenance, monitoring, and upgrade for assigned applications from a clinical perspective.
- Collaborates and when appropriate leads house-wide initiatives on informatics related clinical updates.
- Advances clinical information documentation systems through serving as a knowledgeable practice expert and resource regarding clinical practices as it relates to information systems.
- Improves clinicalworkflows and systems through the institution of quality improvement strategies, setting and maintaining performances standards, and providing leaders/clinicians with information for decision-making.
- Participates in the development of informational technologies that utilize patient and client data to support clinical decision-making in nursing practice.
- Performs key system functions by collaborating with key stakeholders to enhanceclinical practice.
- Measures and evaluates the outputs of assigned information systems and publishes reports to leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Candidate should be a registered professional nurse that possesses five years nursing experience and one year leadership experience.
- Broad knowledge of health care information, documentation, and office suite products.
- Able to handle multiple projects and support multiple systems.
- Able to appropriately prioritize tasks.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
Working Conditions:
- Reasonable likelihood of occupational exposure to pathogens during the performance of assigned duties
