Spring 2016
Sign Up!
While there is only one film festival, there are two film submission entry points: Track 1 and Track 2. The first thing you need to do is determine which below track you would like to take.
Track 1: If you would like your students to participate in Round 1a in December, your registration form and fee must be submitted to ShakeMeUp at no later than June 3, 2016.
Track 2: If you would like your students to participate in Round 1b in April, your registration form and fee must be submitted to ShakeMeUp at no later than October 14, 2016.
* The above is not just either/or, you may enter students in both rounds if you would like.
Summer 2016
Meet Up!
Track 1: In July, you will be introduced via email to your partner classroom teacher. If interested, you are free to develop a unique school-to-school social networking plan (not obligatory).
Autumn 2016
Gear Up!
Track 1 (December Round 1a)
Your students will work on their Shakespeare film productions.
Track 2 (April Round 1b)
Submit registration form to ShakeMeUp at no later than October 14, 2016.
In November, you will be introduced via email to your partner classroom teacher. If interested, you are free to develop a unique school-to-school social networking plan (not obligatory).
Winter 2016 (Track 1 Rounds 1a)
Films Up!
You must send web links for your films to to be uploaded on the ShakeMeUp YouTube channel no later than December 2, 2016.
From December 5 – 9, 2016, your students will review and judge their partner classroom’s video productions. Of course, the same process will be occurring in your partner’s classroom as well.
Your students must announce the Round 1 ShakeMeUp winners on December 9, 2016. Your announcement will be communicated to festival organizers via email (more details will be provided later).
Spring 2017
Films Up & Winners Announced
Track 2 Rounds 1b: You must send web links for your films to to be uploaded on the ShakeMeUp YouTube channel no later than April 21, 2017.
From April 24 – 28 2017, your students will review and judge their partner classroom’s video productions. Of course, the same process will be occurring in your partner’s classroom as well.
Your students must announce the Round 1 ShakeMeUp winners on April 28, 2017. Your announcement will be communicated to ShakeMeUp organizers via email (more details will be provided later).
Culminating Events (Rounds 2 & 3): Winners Announced

Friday May 5, 2017: Announcement of all Round Two 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Friday May 19, 2017: Announcement of Overall Worldwide Winners.
