1.Training

1.1Configuring a new PM

1.1.1 Login to the DM with the admin user

1.1.2 Enter the company's name, enter a password (or use auto generate) and press the add link button

1.1.3 After the company is added the company is added the number assigned to the company is displayed in the table

1.1.4 Start the PM enter the manpower company number to the serial number text box, the password to the license text box and the PowerJobs data base connection string to the connection string text boxAnd press the feedbutton.

1.2Creating a new account

1.2.1 Select register website in the navigation bar, and enter user name pass word password verification security question security answer and press continue

1.2.4Proceed and enter you CV details until the process is completed

2.1 DM

2.1.1 Creating an account

Users can create an account. The account enables users to manage their CV details, manage a collection of favorite positions, applying for position and viewing a history of position applications.

Creating an account involves the following steps:

Step 1 - Enter credential details.

Step 2 - Enter personal details.

Step 3 - Enter contact details.

Step 4 - Enter past employment and recommenders details.

Step 5 - Enter army service details.

After the registration process is completed the user is automatically logged in and the position search page is displayed.

2.1.2 Logging in to an account

2.1.2.1 Logging in as a job seeker

After the user has created an account, he can log in to the account using any computer connected to the internet using the username and password selected at the registration process.

After logging in to the account the user can view and edit his CV details, view his favorite positions, add and remove positions from his favorite positions collection, and apply for positions.

2.1.2.1 Logging in as an administrator

The system has a single build in administrator account. Logging to the administrator account can be done using the user name admin.

Logging in as an administrator allows the user to manage manpower companies. Remove registered man power companies, and register new manpower companies.

2.1.3 Updating CV details

In order to maintain CV detail a user has to create an account. Performing updates to CV details requires the user has to be logged in to his account.

The CV details are divided in to sections. The sections are detailed under CV in the navigation bar displayed on the right pane.Navigating to a specific section is done by clicking the section name in the navigation bar.

The CV section division is as follows:

- Personal details

- Contact details

- Employment history

- Education

- Military

- Occupation fields

- Notes

- Preferences

- Additional info

Afternavigating to the desiered CV section,the current details of the sections will be displayed in the main pane. The user can perform the needed changes. In order to save the changes made to the CV the user has to press the "save changes" link button on the top left corner of the main pane.

2.1.4Browsing positions

Both registered and unregistered users can browse published positions.

The user (either logged in or not logged in) navigates to the position search page using the navigation tree on the right pane.

2.1.5Managing favorite positions

Both registered and unregistered users can maintain a collection of favorite positions.

2.1.5.1 Registered users

A registered userwill be able to view and manage his favorite positions collection, using any computer connected to the internet, after logging in to his account.

2.1.5.1.1 Adding positions to favorite positions

After logging in the user navigates to the position search page using the navigation bar, the user selects a collection positions by checking the check box on the right side of each position, and pressing the add to favorite positions button. The positions will now be displayed in the favorite positions page.

2.1.5.1.1 Removing positions from favorite positions

After logging in the user navigates to the favorite positions page using the navigation bar, the user selects a collection positions by checking the check box on the right side of each position, and pressing the remove from favorite positions button. The positions will no longer be displayed in the favorite positions page.

2.1.5.2 Unregistered users

An unregistered user will be able to view and manage a favorite positions collection. The favorite positions collection will be associated with a specific computer. The favorite positions will be visible to any user using the same computer and can not be accessed using any other computer.

2.1.5.2.1 Adding positions to favorite positions

The user navigates to the position search page using the navigation bar, the user selects a collection positions by checking the check box on the right side of each position, and pressing the add to favorite positions button. The positions will now be displayed in the favorite positions page.

2.1.5.2.1 Removing positions from favorite positions

The user navigates to the favorite positions page using the navigation bar, the user selects a collection positions by checking the check box on the right side of each position, and pressing the remove from favorite positions button. The positions will no longer be displayed in the favorite positions page.

Note: deleting the internet browser cookies will cause the favorite positions to be removed.

2.1.6Applying for positions

Both registered and unregistered users can apply for positions. Applying for positions can be done from the positions search page or the favorite positions page.

2.1.6.1 Registered users

After a registered user applies for a position his application as well as his CV will be automatically be added to the system of the manpower company that published the position.

After navigating to one of the above mentioned pages the user selects a collection positions by checking the check box on the right side of each position, and pressing the apply for positions button.

2.1.6.1 Unregistered users

After requesting to apply for a position unregistered users are required to enter certain details that will enable the manpower company to contact them in order to continue the application process. After navigating to one of the above mentioned pages the user selects a collection positions by checking the check box on the right side of each position, and pressing the apply for positions button. Then a short contact details form is displayed. The user enter the required details and press the submit button.

2.2 PM

2.2.1 Configuring the PM

When first starting the application in order to use it you have to enter a valid connection string pointing to the PowerJobs data base and a valid manpower company number and license. The manpower company number is generated in the DM (using the admin user). The license and manpower company is used to validate that the man power company is authorized to retrieve and upload information from and to the DM.

2.2.2 Publishing positionsManpower companies can publish positions managed using PowerJobs. Publishing positions requires that the definitions section will contain a valid connection string and a valid company number and license.

In order to publish positions, navigate to unpublished positions under positions management in the navigation tree in the right pane. All the positions that are currently not published are displayed. Select al the positions that you wish to publish.

2.2.2.1 Immediate publishingif you wish to publish the positions immediately press the "publish immediately" button on the bottom left side of the screen. The selected positions will be immediately uploaded to the DM, and become available for job seekers to view add to favorite positions and apply for.

2.2.2.2 Delayed publishinguploading positions to the DM requires communication over the web and there for might be a time consuming operation. In order to save time it is possible to request to publish a positions at the next time that information will be uploaded to the DM.

If you wish to publish the positions when the next upload is performed after you select the positions press the "publish at next upload" button on the bottom left side of the screen. After the next upload is performed the selected positions will become available for job seekers to view add to favorite positions and apply for.

2.2.3 Canceling positions publicationManpower companies can remove published positions from the DM. Removing published positions requires that the definitions section will contain a valid connection string and a valid company number and license.

In order to remove published positions from the DM, navigate to published positions under positions in the navigation tree in the right pane. All the positions that are currently published are displayed. Select all the positions that you wish to remove from the DM and press remove. The positions will be immediately removed from the DM. Positions that were removed will no longer be visible to job seekers performing searches, nor to job seekers who added the positions to their favorite positions.

Note: removing positions from the DM will cause lose of related applications. If applications to the positions about to be removed from the DM are valuable it is recommended to retrieve applications prior to removing the positions.

2.2.4Retrieving CVs

Retrieving CVs requires that the definitions section will contain a valid connection string and a valid company number and license. In order retrieve CVs from the DM, navigate to candidates updating in the navigation tree in the right pane. In the right side of the main pane a tree of occupation fields is displayed. Select the occupation fields relevant to the manpower company and press the "retrieve CVs" button on the bottom left side of the main pane. The application will update "PowerJobs" with all the CVs added to the DM or changed which are relevant to one of the occupation fields selected.

2.2.5Retrieving application

Retrieving applications will update the PowerJobs data base with all of the applications made to positions published by the manpower company. Both applications of registered and unregistered candidates will be retrieved. CVs of registered candidates that applied for a position published by the company and do not exist in the companies CV pool will be retrieved as well.
