POST OF KOSOVA PHILATELY
Announces COMPETITION
for the selection of artistic designs pertaining to the motifs of postage stamps
and philatelic blocks of the regular annual program of postage stamps for 2013
2013 annual program of postage stamps includes selection of the most beautiful designs for the following editions:
- Edition theme: “Cities of Kosova - Pristina”
Description: artistic sights of the city of Pristina (painting, graphics or artistic photography)
Image quantity: 3 (three) motifs/designs for postage stamps.
- Edition theme:” Ethnologic Museum”
Description: artistic sights of museums in Kosova, exterior and interior (painting, graphics or artistic photography)
Image quantity: 2 (two) motifs/designs for postage stamps.
- Edition theme: “Accursed Mountains” (Rrasa e zogut, Maja e Shkëlzenit, Gryka e Rugovës, Maja e Gjeravicës)
Description: sights of most attractive places in Kosovo and touristic attractions of Accursed Mountains.
Image quantity: 3 (three) motifs/designs for postage stamps.
- Edition theme: “Sights of the villages of Kosovo”
Description: artistic sights of a village of Kosovo (painting, graphics or artistic photography)
Image quantity: 2 (two) motifs/designs for postage stamps.
- Edition theme:”Europe 2013”
Description: artistic presentations of postal vehicles (old and new versions)
Image quantity: 2 (two) motifs/designs for postage stamps and 1 (one) motif/design for philatelic block.
- Edition theme: “Kosovo’s renowned women”- Xhevë Lladrovci, Katarina Josipi and Hyrije Hana
Description: artistic portraits (drawing, painting or artistic photography)
Image quantity: 3 (three) motifs/designs for postage stamps.
7. Edition theme: “The Uprising of 1913- Bajram Curri”
Description: drawing, painting, or artistic photography of his portrait
Image quantity: 1 (one) motif/design for postage stamps.
- Edition theme : “Goddesses of the Albanian mythology“
Description: painting or artistic graphics of Dardan goddesses
Description: 1 (one) motif/design for postage stamps and 1(one) motif/design for philatelic block.
- Edition theme : “Rhapsodists”
Description: artistic portraits of Kosovar rhapsodists (Dervish Shaqa, Sali Krasniqi, Ymer Riza)
Description: 3 (three) motifs/designs for postage stamps.
- Edition theme: Visual arts- Adem Kastrati-paintings
Description: paintings
Image quantity: 3 (three) motifs/designs for postage stamps
RULES OF COMPETITION:
- Artistic designs based on the themes mentioned above should be completed in specialized design programs (Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, Corel Draw), and the same should be submitted in both forms - printed and as a computer file.
- Designs with lower resolution than 500 px( TIFF or PDF) will not be accepted.
- The designer’s name should not be a part of the competitive theme, as there should only be a code.
- Designs for this competition must be submitted in a sealed envelope.
- An envelope should contain 2 other envelopes inside. One of the envelopes must contain the designer’s details, while the other envelope must contain the competitive project work (in hard copy and soft copy).
- A designer can compete with an indefinite number of works, but with different codes for each
edition. - Designs competing in different editions must be packed separately, by writing the title of the edition competing for on the envelope.
- All rights are reserved for the competing designer.
For reasons of confidentiality and due to objectivity, only the code selected by the designer should be written on the three envelopes and on the CD (the name or the surname of the designer should not appear anywhere in the designs or outside the envelopes).
Postage Stamps’ High Committee will not have access to details on the identity of the designers, until the designs are selected.
AWARDS:
Each winning design for postage stamps will be rewarded € 500.00. (PK JSC shall bear tax obligations).
The winning design for the philatelic block will be rewarded € 500.00. (PK JSC shall bear tax obligations).
The COMPETITION will be open 30 calendar days, from 06.11.2012 to 06.12.2012,

The competing designs will not be returned to their creators. They remain the property of PK JSC.
The selection of the best competitive designs will be done by the Postage Stamps’ High Committee.
