We are seeking an energetic and skilled individual to assist with the planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of quality and developmentally appropriate programs, activities, services, and special events in the area of Physical Education for youth ages 7-18.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
  • Promote and stimulate program participation.
  • Register new members and participate in their club orientation process.
  • Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
  • Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for drop-in members and visitors.
  • Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety to member, quality in programs and appearance of the Unit at all times.
  • Prepare periodic activity reports as advised by the Unit Director and the Impact assessment coordinator.
  • Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly staff meetings.
  • Instruct, coach and direct varied activities.
  • Implement goals, objectives, policies procedures and work standards for assigned programs.
  • Exercise independent judgment and initiative within general policy guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Reading & answering emails promptly; carrying out directives by supervisor, communication of needs at least one week in advance for materials and supplies.
  • Numbers are to be maintained daily and submitted to theFront Desk Manager.
  • Maintenance, upkeep & storage room clean-up; manage/inventory/replace equipment with approval. General cleaning i.e. storage, gym, weight room etc performed on daily basis.
  • Recruit members through contact with schools, media and special events. Create and take part in overall recruitment for the leagues and special events/programs.
  • Per each program requirements all paperwork must be completed completely and accurately as needed (i.e. Targeted outreach forms completed and submitted to Impact Assessment Coordinator monthly; Check and connect form weekly; Timesheets with cover sheet, submitted by deadline, added correctly with hours, signed by both Junior Staff and Supervisor.
  • Open to supervision of Junior Staff and all supervisory duties that fall under the T2W Program.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in working with children.
  • Knowledge of youth development strategies.
  • Ability to motivate youth and handle behavior problems.
  • Ability to deal with the general public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
  • Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work clubhouse hours especially as seasons and service needs change.
