Position Title: Financial Planning Analyst

Reports to Title: Kim Zunker (Practice Manager)

Location of Position: Bloomington, MN

Position summary:

This full-time position providessecurities licensed financial planning analysis and operational support to The Stonebridge Group. This position serves as a resource to Financial Advisors and clients in handling, researching and communicating inquiries regarding their accounts and supports the daily operations of the practice, including, but not limited to:gathering client information, data input into financial planning tools, running client analysis, developing client recommendation deliverables, client documentation and other team support as needed.

Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Assists Financial Advisors in the preparation and follow up for the client meetings
  • Works directly with financial planning clients to gather information and input into financial planning software
  • Uses client information to analyze and develop financial plan and strategies
  • Works with advisors to craft recommendations and client deliverables
  • Refine and develop systems and process for financial planning
  • Documents client files from activity
  • Handles incoming telephone calls for financial planningrelated activity
  • Researches inquiries regarding customer/member accounts
  • Prepares or coordinates the preparation of routine correspondence, reports, and special projects of a routine nature
  • Supports projects, administration of various programs, and processing functions as needed
  • Verbal or written communications with prospective or existing customers regarding financial matters
  • Obtaining client’s financial and/or suitability information
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned in accordance with licensure and business needs

Position Qualifications
  • Previous financial planning experience preferred
  • Must be securities registered (FINRA Series 7 & 66)
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferred
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Naviplan, MoneyGuidePro, Microsoft Excel and Word, Morningstar, Salesforce, etc.) or ability to learn
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
  • Basic understanding of The Stonebridge Group our products and services, and Thrivent Financial
