Position: Spiritual Care Coordinator

Terms: Full-time residential position with salary and benefits.

Line Manager: Spiritual Care Director

Role

The Spiritual Care Coordinator manages the Spiritual Care Team, coordinates hospitality for individual guests and groups in the Care Centre, oversees individual planned Care Breaks and assists with Spiritual Care events.

Responsibilities:

The Care Coordinator is responsible for;

  1. Daily monitoring of bookings at the Care Centre with the Administration Manager.
  2. Weekly meetings with the Accommodation and Administration Managers.
  3. Overseeing office activity at the Care Centre so that the Spiritual Care team;
  4. Responds to the office phone during agreed hours, listens and responds to messages and replies to emails and all enquiries from individuals, carers, groups etc.
  5. Communicates with the administration team re changes in bookings, cancellations and receipt of payment outside of office hours.
  6. Follows admissions procedures for individuals and groups on Care Breaks;
  7. completing Care needs assessments
  8. developing of Care Plans
  9. reviewing Care Plans with the Care team.
  10. Oversees bookings for Spiritual Care public programme events, as agreed with the Spiritual Care Coordinator, such as Facing Loss, Healing Grief and Courageous Journey.
  11. Coordinates pre-arrangedone-to-onecare sessions during guest and group stays.
  12. Workswith the Spiritual Care teamto check with guests and groups, during and after their visits, to monitor satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  13. Liases with the Accommodation Managerand ensures they have information specific to care guests, such as infection risksand control measures or stays longer than one week.
  14. Coordinates a rota for night presence at the Care Centre and participates in that rota.

Acts as the Care Team Leader

  1. Creating effective communications, supports and training and development opportunities for the Spiritual Care Team.
  2. Ensuring good practice in the team, including boundaries, self-care etc.
  3. Organising and leading regular participative assessment/ evaluation meetings.
  4. Maintaining records and information about the Care Service.

Requirements

  • Rigpa instructor
  • Spiritual Care experience or relevant professional experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Office and computer skills
  • Good team worker and ability to work on own initiative
  • Flexible
  • Sociable
