No boarding pilot points
After entering inside Antsiranana bay through ORANGEA pass the vessel will be guided by the Pilot stand by on channel 16 up to the vessel arrival at pilot boarding area located midway from NosyLangoroIsland and commercial quay.

Waiting anchorage: 12°12’05South & 49°20’00 East
Pilot contact: VHF channel 12 & 16 two hours before arrivals
ANCHORAGE:No special anchorage. If no berth available on ship’s arrival, the pilot proceed ships at best anchorage, according to its draft and length between NosyLangoro and the navy port limit area, inside the safe bay.
RESTRICTIONS: Max draft at the pier 8m50.
No other special restrictions.
Ships can enter and sailday and night any time.
DELAYS / BERTHING PRIORITY: while berth is occupied ships must stay at anchorage. Berthing priority are given first to cruisers ship, navy ship, containers vsls; tankers get berthing priority only when oil stock outage in the city is duly certify by the local authorities.
Otherwise the port rules specify that first vsl arrived is berthing first.
However, any vsl berthed but not working be shifted to anchorage at its
own charges of all shifting expenses, when another vsl intend to work
alongside day time or night time. The shifted vsl lost its place and will take the last rank for berthing again.
