2018 Pool Rules
General Rules for Pool Area:
- No smoking or use of any tobacco products is allowed.
- No alcohol is allowed.
- No one is allowed to enter under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- No glass containers are allowed.
- No foul language or verbal abuse is allowed.
- The City of Slater and/or the Park Board are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Pool Rules:
- *** Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a responsible person who is 14 years of age or older. ***
- Swim diapers are required for any child who is not potty trained.
- No diving in the shallow end of the pool or in any area marked “NO DIVING.”
- No “horseplay” in or around the pool.
- No flips (front flips or back flips) off the side of the pool.
- No dunking games.
- No running on the deck.
- Only adults (age 18 and over) shall be in the water during breaks.
- No talking with on duty lifeguards unless it’s official business or in an emergency.
- No playing on ladders, stairs or ropes, around slide stairs or landing area, or with rescue equipment.
- No one is allowed in or around the mechanical building except the CPO and those authorized by the CPO.
- Persons under the age of 10 who wish to swim in the deep water or go off the board and slide must take a Deep Water Test administered by the Manager on the hourly break
*** Please note, a life guard can request you to take the Deep Water Test at any time to ensure your safety and others (even if you are over 10 years old). Please cooperate. - Each patron is responsible for articles brought into the pool area, and for their removal.
- No behavior the lifeguard deems unsafe.
