CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Carl Lankenau at 7:31 PM
MINUTES
The August 2011 minutes were read by Darrell
Motion to accept by Dave without changes or corrections; seconded by Brian. The Minutes were accepted for posting on the club website.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Treasurer Mike Lapke presented his report which was a composite of transactions from June 28 until August 31, 2011
The report is in file.
There was a short discussion regarding the balance owed the club by CES. We need to agree with Dave on the amount still owed by CES to the club. Mike will contact Dave L.
OLD BUSINESS
Darrell again mentioned the Naperville project and passed out a sample copy of a proposal he put together from all the notes and previous outlines. There was a discussion. Carl will try to find out when the Naperville City Council meets and perhaps how to get on the agenda. Darrell will work on a final proposal including the comments made tonight. Scott said he could make a DVD of the KIC karting tape which describes concisely the sport. Darrell will send him a copy of the tape.
Although Ross is not in attendance, we’re hoping that he will have the questionnaire ready for the GingerMan weekend.
SERIES
Carl explained the scenario regarding the cancelling of the Autobahn event.
There was a lengthy discussion.
The next event will be the season final at GingerMan. We’re hoping it is successful. Information will be posted on EKN.

Nothing to discuss as a committee although Mike noted that the final membership count for 2011 is 29 plus the BoD’s and Lifetime members
WEB SITE
We will be adding new info regarding the GingerMan event through the new webmaster.
NEW BUSINESS
The was a discussion about how to get racers to stay for Sunday, as about half the group races Saturday then leaves even though Sunday is a complete event. This practice is really affecting the bottom line. Nothing was actually decided.
Next meeting will be October 4th.
