Full Proposal Application Form – Phase 4 (2015-2018)
Proposals are evaluated against the evaluation criteria available in Appendix A of the ArcticNet Project Review Guidelines. The onus is on the applicant to address the evaluation criteria explicitly in this application.
Please use Times New Roman font (11 points) and do not exceed the allocated space indicated in each cell. Any text exceeding the allocated space will be removed.

6. Explain how the research project will contribute to ArcticNet’s Integrated Regional Impact Study framework and Regional Assessments.

8. Project Milestones and deliverables. Provide a list (in bullet form) of project milestones, listing projects deliverables, expected to be reached over the course of the proposed project duration (max 1 page).
9. Contribution to training of Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP). Briefly summarize the number and role of graduate students, post-docs, technical staff & trainees potentially involved in the proposed research. Detail any plan to involve Inuit or northern HQP. (1/2 page).
10. Networking and partnerships. Identify the partners involved and briefly outline their role in the development and implementation of the project. Note that Letters of Support are requested from partners making cash or in-kind contributions to the project. (1/4 page limit per partner, include additional pages if needed).
11. Knowledge and technology transfer. Identify means by which results and/or innovation will be transferred to partners, Inuit organizations, northern communities and the public sector. List any knowledge exchange activities that could inform policy at the regional, provincial or national level.
12. Research involvement of each researcher receiving ArcticNet funds, including percentage of total salaried time committed to this project (1/4 page limit per participant, include additional pages if needed).
13a. Budget
- The current ArcticNet funding Phase is until 31 March 2018.
- Funds for all ArcticNet projects are awarded on an annual basis with projects and associated budgets subject to an annual progress review prior to yearly renewal. Please see ArcticNet Project Review Guidelines for details.
- ArcticNet follows the Tri-Agency Financial Administration Guide with regards to the use and eligibility of grant funds.
List only the amounts requested from ArcticNet under Items 1-7. Estimated cash contributions from other sources can be tallied under Item 8 and detailed in Section 13b.

13b. Budget Justification. Provide a justification and details for each budget line item above, including cash and in-kind contributions from partners. Add extra pages if needed. ArcticNet follows the Tri-Agency Financial Administration Guide with regards to the use and eligibility of grant funds.

14. Project summary. Provide a ½ page summary of your research project written for a non-scientific audience. If your proposal is funded, this summary will be used in various ArcticNet publications and on the website.

16. CV of Project members. Attach an electronic copy (in .pdf format) of an up-to-date CV for the Project leader and all project Researchers (eligible university professors or adjunct professors) asking for ArcticNet funds.
17. Letters of support. Attach electronic copies (in .pdf format) of signed letters of support from partner organisations of the proposed project. Letters of support are mandatory for organizations providing cash and in-kind support. There is no limit on the number of letters of support.
18. External reviewers. Provide the names and contact information (title, affiliation, phone, e-mail and mailing addresses) of four (4) external reviewers who would be qualified to review your proposal. Please ensure that the persons proposed are not in a conflict of interest as defined in Appendix B of ArcticNet’s Project Review Guidelines.
