The job application process at Safinah Ltd. comprises the following key steps:

  1. Completion of the job application form.
  2. Review of the job application form by Safinah personnel and the decision to place candidate on a short list.
  3. Short listed candidates will be invited to come and “get to know Safinah”. This comprises a one-day visit to the office (aninformal review day) to meet the Safinah personnel and get a feeling for the Company and the business. Candidates are required to prepare a presentation for that day would broadly cover the following key issues:

  7. Why they wish to work for Safinah?
  8. What they can bring to Safinah?
  9. How they can help Safinah grow?

In return the candidate will receive an introduction to Safinah and an overview of employment terms and conditions.

  1. Based on the outcome of this review day successful candidates will be asked back for a formal interview with the board
  2. A successful interview will result in references being taken up in discussion with the candidate.
  3. Successful candidates will then be appointed typically for a probationary period (6 months) before entering full time employment with Safinah Ltd.

  1. Nature of the work

The majority of work carried out by Safinah is for overseas clients. Consulting posts within Safinah normally entail considerable overseas travel (often at short notice). Work will normally involve visits to industrial sites such as shipyards and will also involve accessing yachts/ships/offshore structures and working both at height and in enclosed spaces on these structures.

    It is normal for Safinah to require successful applicants to work from the Morpeth office. However, each candidate will be assessed on an individual basis based on the needs of the Company at any time.
