About NCT:
Thankyou for your interest in working with our branch. Fundraising is an important part of what we do as it allows us to run local events for parents, helps support national initiatives and support lines and allows us to make links to our local community.
NCT is the largest and best known childbirth and parenting charity in Europe. Run by parents, for parents, NCT is rooted in local communities across the UK. NCT has successfully campaigned for many important changes e.g. the right of a woman in labour to be accompanied by a birth partner. NCT carries out valuable research into maternity issues and campaigns for ongoing improvements in maternity services. Stockport and District NCT Branch covers postcodes SK2- SK8 and has 422 members. The Branch organises a wide range of social and fundraising events for members and non-members including bumps and babies groups, a playgroup, bumps events for expectant parents and nearly new sales and provides a wide range of services including postnatal support and breastfeeding counselling.

Newsletter:
Our e-newsletter is published four time a year and is sent out to all members via email as well as appearing on our website, facebook page and is then sent out to non-members who request a copy. The cost of advertising in the newsletter compares extremely favourably with other forms of advertising, especially as the newsletter is so well targeted to expectant parents and those with young children.
Newsletter costs: Colour advert: Where possible this should include a link to your website so that readers can click through and should be no bigger than 100kb: £30.00. Please note we can accept no more than four adverts per issue at present and these are on a first come, first serve basis.
Advertorial- No more than 500 words and two photos- £30.00- please note we can only accept one advertorial per issue.
Local directory
Our members are active online and often source products and services via the web. To further meet their needs we have just launched an online directory of local goods and services in the Stockport and surrounding area. Our Local Directory listing includes your business name, address, telephone number, email, contact name (if required), web address and a 25-word description of your products/services. Website advertising rates £20.00 per quarter | £35.00 half year | £65.00 whole year. We are delighted to extend a special web advertising discount to newsletter advertisers. Newsletter advertisers can therefore purchase a directory listing at an additional cost of £10 + VAT per quarter, provided the web space is booked at the same time as the newsletter advertising.

We offer various sponsorship options for businesses or organisations keen to reap the benefits of being associated with NCT Stockport and to help support specific events and groups.
Bumps, Babies and Beyond playgroup:
Our popular Bumps, Babies and Beyond playgroup runs every Friday in Bramhall and attracts between 15 and 25 families each week. The playgroup sponsorship includes:
- Your logo on all playgroup marketing and posters
- Advert in each of the main e-newsletters
- Thank you in our regular short e-updates sent out to members and on our website
- Opportunity to attend Bumps, babies and beyond once per term to chat to our members
- Opportunity to attend Bumps events to chat to expectant parents
- Leaflets displayed at the group for attenders to explore

Sole sponsorship: 6 months- £300.00
Joint sponsorship: 6 months- £150.00
Cheeky Monkeys tea party
Our Cheeky Monkeys tea parties happen in the summer and either at Christmas or Halloween and offer a fantastic, fun and social event for local families.
The Cheeky Monkeys sponsorship includes:
- Your logo on the Cheeky Monkeys party marketing and posters
- Advert in the main e-newsletters
- Thank you in our regular short e-updates sent out to members and on our website
- Opportunity to attend the party and chat to attenders
- Leaflets in childrens party bags
The next Cheeky monkeys tea party will be on: 9th September and we are looking for sponsorship of £100.00 for this event.
Branch sponsorship
We can offer the opportunity to sponsor our branch. This could include:
Verbal/written thank you from the branch team at all events and in all publications
- Logo on front cover of newsletter, plus full page advert
- Stall at all events
- Opportunity to come and talk about product/service at Bumps groups
- Publicity materials – co-branded banner, pop up stand and anything else appropriate (eg. gazebo)
- Staff volunteering

We require booking in writing via email and it is considered binding. Please note that both the newsletter and the insert opportunities are limited, so will be offered on first come first served basis. You can book by emailing with your contact details and what you would like to book
Before you create any adverts or inserts please contact us to ensure there is space for you and to book your advertisement. When emailing please include your full contact details, on confirming your booking you are agreeing to the terms as noted below.
1) Advertising in the newsletter
Photos or logos must be submitted at a JPG file of under 100kb, please note we will resize photos to fit the newsletter and to allow members to open them easily. Text for adverts should be under 50 words and include a link to a website or email address.
2) Advertorial
Should be no more than 500 words and include two photos of under 100kb, Photos will be resized to fit the newsletter and ensure members can open the newsletter. All advertorials must be submitted three weeks before the date of publication and the branch reserves the right to reject advertorials that break NCT guidelines.
3) Nearly New Sale inserts
An insert is an A5 or A4 flyer on paper. If you wish to insert something heavier please contact us for a quote. You will be required to provide 300 leaflets (this is correct at the time this flyer was produced) 2 weeks before the sale.
4) Website advertising
Please forward the following information to us via email: Business name, address, telephone number, email, contact name (if required), web address and a 25-word description of your products/services.
All prices are exclusive of VAT. You will be invoiced shortly after you have booked. Series bookings are to be paid for in advance. As a charity we request quick payment of invoices.
