Please note that membership fees include affiliation to Snowsport Wales and relevant insurance cover.

RENEWAL DATES

•You must renew your registration with the coaching scheme by the 1st January each year.

SKI CLUB(S)

•All Coaching Scheme members should indicate the Ski Club(s) to which they belong, if any. Performers MUST indicate their club(s), if any, in order of priority in accordance with British race rules.

•Nominated ski clubs must be affiliated to one of the Home Nation Governing Bodies (SNOWSPORT WALES/ENGLAND/SCOTLAND)

•Individuals who do not belong to any club may register with SNOWSPORT WALES

AGE LIMITS FOR COMPETITIONS

•These will be in accordance with the published criteria. A copy will be sent to all performers before the start of the racing season along with other race information.

SEEDING

•If a performer wishes results from any race, not currently included in the seeding system, to be considered then the sole responsibility for providing evidence to the National Seeders rests with the Performer. This information must be supplied at the time of registering or renewing.

DOPING CONTROL

•I agree to abide by the Doping Control Regulations. I understand that performers may be tested for prohibited drugs at competitions or squad training. Information about doping controls, prohibited drugs and testing procedures is available on request from the Snowsport Wales office. I understand that if I register as a performer, I give permission for Doping Tests to be carried out.

MEMBERSHIP

•Registration with the National Coaching Scheme entitles you to full membership of SNOWSPORT CYMRU WALES. Those SNOWSPORT CYMRU WALES members who are aged 16 and over are eligible to vote at General Meetings and to nominate Officers & Directors of SNOWSPORT CYMRU WALES.

CHILD PROTECTION DECLARATION

•I accept that should I fail to abide by the Snowsport Wales Child Protection Policy, my membership of the Coaching Scheme will be terminated immediately and without notice. I confirm that I have not been cautioned, convicted or reprimanded, or have any pending prosecutions against children, young persons or vulnerable adults and agree that should I be convicted of any such offence, I shall immediately notify Snowsport Wales and will return my licence and any certificates upon request.

ATHLETE’S CODE OF CONDUCT - PERFORMERS ONLY

As an athlete and participant in skiing competitions I agree to follow the Athlete’s Code of Conduct as given below:

To read, understand and agree to the BSS Drugs and Doping policy.

Shall not use prohibited recreational drugs, as defined by the BOA.

I will show respect to coaches and team managers at all times.

I shall respect the race officials and volunteers involved in the organisation of the races.

I will show respect to my racing colleagues and other ski team athletes.

I will not be involved in any bullying or practises that can be deemed as bullying.

I shall demonstrate sporting behaviour with race results and decisions made

To act in a manner that does not bring myself or my sport into disrepute at all times during ski races and practice/training sessions.

To attend and present for prize giving ceremonies should I receive a trophy (unless circumstances do not allow me).

The harmful effects of smoking cigarettes and the consumption of alcohol are well recognised and can debilitate the performance of racers.

Snowsport Cymru/Wales actively encourages the non-consumption of these substances during race events and training.

Disciplinary action may be imposed for breach of rules, or for reasons of behaviour when such may be deemed of a disciplinary nature by the race organisers. Any action will depend on the type and seriousness of any breach of discipline but will be accompanied by a verbal warning and/or a written warning as necessary. Athletes shall have the right to appeal all such measures, to the race organisers in the first instance, then the Board via the Athletes Representative within 3 months of disputed disciplinary measure.
