Picture notes
Students are to create 2-5 illustrations explaining the major points of the section. Students are allowed to use no more than 15 words in each illustration. Each illustration must explain the following for each section.
- Ch15 sec1: The importance of Shi Huangdiand how he Unites China under the Qin dynasty.
- Ch15 sec2: The importance of the Han Dynasty and how it expanded its kingdom through trade and government.
- Ch15 sec 3: The importance of the Han Society and their achievements including the arts, science and inventions.
- Ch16 sec1: The importance of the Tang and Song dynasties and their cultural advances including trading, farming, and economy.
- Ch16 sec2: The importance of the Mongol and Yuan empire and their accomplishments
- Ch16 sec3: The importance of the Ming dynasty and their foreign policy
- Ch16 sec4: The advancement of Early China including technology, religion, arts, and culture
Note Inquiry:
Students are to create 5 questions/problems from each section in menu (ex. CC1.2).Be sure to use the levels of questioning worksheet on the resource center table. Each section of question need to include:
•Ch15 sec1: The importance of Shi Huangdi and how he Unites China under the Qin dynasty.
•Ch15 sec2: The importance of the Han Dynasty and how it expanded its kingdom through trade and government.
•Ch15 sec 3: The importance of the Han Society and their achievements including the arts, science and inventions.
•Ch16 sec1: The importance of the Tang and Song dynasties and their cultural advances including trading, farming, and economy.
•Ch16 sec2: The importance of the Mongol and Yuan empire and their accomplishments
•Ch16 sec3: The importance of the Ming dynasty and their foreign policy

Section Summary:
Students must write at least 2 paragraphs (5 sentences with at least 7 words in each sentence for each paragraph) summarizing the section. Paragraph must include at least 2 vocab words used correctly and also have a thesis statement. Summary must also include the following for each section:
•Ch15 sec1: The importance of Shi Huangdi and how he Unites China under the Qin dynasty.
•Ch15 sec2: The importance of the Han Dynasty and how it expanded its kingdom through trade and government.
•Ch15 sec 3: The importance of the Han Society and their achievements including the arts, science and inventions.
•Ch16 sec1: The importance of the Tang and Song dynasties and their cultural advances including trading, farming, and economy.
•Ch16 sec2: The importance of the Mongol and Yuan empire and their accomplishments
•Ch16 sec3: The importance of the Ming dynasty and their foreign policy

Personal Summary
Students are to write at least one paragraph (5 complete sentences with at least 7 words in each sentence) explaining how their personal life relates to the section. Each summary needs to include the following from each section:
•Ch15 sec1: The importance of Shi Huangdi and how he Unites China under the Qin dynasty.
•Ch15 sec2: The importance of the Han Dynasty and how it expanded its kingdom through trade and government.
•Ch15 sec 3: The importance of the Han Society and their achievements including the arts, science and inventions.
•Ch16 sec1: The importance of the Tang and Song dynasties and their cultural advances including trading, farming, and economy.
•Ch16 sec2: The importance of the Mongol and Yuan empire and their accomplishments
•Ch16 sec3: The importance of the Ming dynasty and their foreign policy

Thinking Map Summary:
Students are to use at least 2 of the 8 types of thinking maps to summarize the sections. Thinking map need to include the following for each section:
