Part I General Rules
- Toss- Before the game the players shall toss, choose , or rally for the option of
- Serving first
- Not serving first
- Choosing ends
- Scoring
- Doubles and singles are to 15 points
- If the score is ties at 13, the first player to 13 has the option of setting the game to 5
- If the score is tied at 14 the first player has the option of setting the game o 3
- You may only score when you are serving.
- Other rules
- A legal serve must land in the appropriate service box.
- A ball that lands on a line in considered in
- A player must not touch the net or its supports.
- After serve has been struck the ball must bounce twice for any volley or smash to occur. (TWO BOUNCE RULE)
- The serve is executed from below the waist directly out of the hand.
- Feinting of a serve is illegal.
- The ball may not be hit or smashed directly out of the air when one or both feet of the player is in front of the short service line or considered in the non-volley zone.
Part II Singles Play
- The server shall start his/her service from the right hand service box and serve diagonally to their opponent in the appropriate receiving box.
- When a player’s score is and odd number they will serve from the left hand box. Opposite for an even score.
Part III Doubles differences
- Innings- Possession of the serve by each team is an inning. There are two “outs” per inning. (exception- on the first possession of the game) Therefore it is an advantage in doubles play to serve second.
- Each partner gets a chance to hold serve as they score points. Each time a point is scored the server moves to the other service box to serve. You only switch serving boxes when you score points. When the team has used their two outs, the service goes to the other team to whoever is occupying the right hand service box.

Volley- to hit the ball from an opponent without it bouncing first.
Rally- to hit the ball after it has bounced
