DISTRICT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS
The District Executive Committee exists to support the District Commissioner in meeting the responsibilities of the appointment, to manage the property and finances of the District and to provide support for Scout Groups, Explorer Scout Units and Scout Network Units in the District. Its membership consists of:
- District Officers
- Nominated Members
- Elected Members
- Co-opted Members
Elected Members, Treasurer and Secretary are elected to the District Executive Committee at the District Scout Council Annual General Meeting each year. Prospective members must be proposed by a member of the District Scout Council, be over 18 years of age and must not have been disqualified from being charity trustees by virtue of the Charities Act. The positions of District Treasurer and District Secretary may not be held by a Scouter who holds a role as a Manager, Leader or Supporter in the District.
