Pearl Cove Library – WHS Checklist
Fire Exits
DO NOT USE THE LIFTS
The Harris Street end fire exit is the closest to the training venue. To get to this fire exit turn left as you leave the classroom and keep going until you get to the end of the corridor. The fire exit is at the end of the corridor with a big green “EXIT” sign.
For people with wheel chairs, use the Wattle Street exit. To get to this fire exit turn right as you leave the classroom and keep going until you get to the end of the corridor. When you get to the end of the corridor, turn left until you get to the fire exit. Once you get inside the fire exit doors wait in the wheel chair area on the right, which is clearly designated, for the Fire Warden for directions.
There are fire exit signs at both ends of the floor – one near the lifts (Wattle St. end) and one at the other end of the lifts (Harris St. end). There is also an evacuation diagram on the wall in the classroom. Look for the green “Running Man” signs or green “EXIT” signs.
When you get to the ground floor, turn right, then turn right again into Thomas St, then turn right again into Jones St. The assembly point is at Mary Ann St end of the Jones St Mall.
