GOALS AND OBJECTIVE

PURPOSE AND PROPOSED USES
The purpose of this management plan is to:
1. Maintain and protect existing natural resources from adverse impacts.
2. Enhance natural communities by controlling nonnative vegetation and wildlife.
3. Protect populations of significant and listed plant and animal species.
4. Develop and implement a prescribed fire management plan.

MANAGEMENT NEEDS
(General description of the management needs and requirements necessary to protect and maintain the functions and values of the conservation management area. This should include any cooperative efforts and agreements to help promote or conduct certain management activities, such as cleanups, maintenance, public education, observation, monitoring, and reporting.)

(Description of prohibited activities, such as mowing in wetland and wetland buffers, or removal of native vegetation in protected areas, exclusion of livestock, horses, kennels, etc)

(Fencing or other institutional controls to minimize impact of human activities on wildlife and vegetation, such as predation by pets; should include list of approved uses within protected area (i.e. up to 2 horses may be kept within conservation area.))

(Prescribed burning, thinning, or comparable activities performed in an environmentally sensitive manner to restore or maintain habitat. The plan should include performance measures and a schedule and be consistent with firewise principles and approved by the County fire mitigation specialist)
