PCRF has been deployed to introduce fair usage policies on various unlimited plans to control abuse and avoid bill shocks. This functionality is currently with four dongle plan 1275, 305, 505 & 750

Q. What is PCRF deployment? How it will work?

Q. How will the CCE know that the customer has exhausted the data limit?

The CCE will have to check the data usage in the given UI and will have to explain the usage to the customer accordingly.

Q. Is this applicable for 3G ICR circle also?

Currently this is ONLY applicable for all 3G circles except JnK (NOT for 3G ICR).

Q. The speed of my Aircel 3G dongle has become very slow. What is the matter?

Scenario (for 305, 505 & 750 Dongle postpaid plan): (Check data usage in UI and guide accordingly) Sir/Madam, As per your account details, you have exceeded your monthly data limit after which your speed will be reduced to…(refer given table). You will get these benefits renewed every month as per your billing cycle, so we shall request you to wait till that time.

Q. How can I check my data usage?

Dear Sir, We will intimate you through SMS when you reach 80%of the allocated volume quota however at any point of time you can call up our customer care to know about your current usage.

Q. What will be the degenerated speed after I consume the monthly data limit?

Scenario (for 305, 505 & 750 Dongle postpaid plan):Dear Sir/Madam, after quota consumption the speed shall be reduced as per your monthly rental plan (refer table) till the last day of the billing cycle.

Q. Will I get any intimation from Aircel whenever I am nearing/crossing my data limit?

Dear Sir/ Madam, we will intimate you via SMS when you reach 80% of the allocated volume quota.

Msg 1 sent at 80%:: “Dear Customer you have used 80% of your threshold with data speed of up to “……….”(Actual Speed as per plan) , for this month. For any further query, please Call 121”

After reaching 100% of the quota another message would be sent informing you about the degradation of the speed.

Msg 2 sent at 100%: “Dear Customer you have crossed your data threshold for this month. Your data speed will be reduced to up to “……….”(Throttling Speed) for maintaining QoS. For any query please call 121”
