Badminton Ontario Coaching Card Registration
For the 2015/2016 coaches need to register manually for obtaining a Coaching Card. Badminton Ontario is migrating to Tournanment Software (TS) to manage the Coaching Card accounts, so for the time being please send an email application to the Director of Coaching for the card, and it will be forwarded to the BadOnt office to manually enter into TS. The club can send one list of all the coaches to Badminton Ontario for simplicity.Coaches need to include their full name, address, BON ID (if applicable), email, DOB, and Club information with their application. The applications will be reviewed with the NCCP credentials and then created in TS.
The club needs to confirm that a Police check for Vulnerable Sector (blue form) has been successfully completed as a part of the application.
The Coaching Card fee is $10 for the 2015/2016 season.
Coaches are required to be "Trained" or have the old Level 1 to coach on court at the Junior A and/or B Championships. Any coaches who are moving forward and completing any of Modules 1 through 3 since June 2015 will be given a Coaching Card to coach at non-Championship BadOnt sanctioned tournaments during the 2015-2016 season. All three Modules need to be completed to coach at the Championships at the end of this season.
NCCP update
Module 1 = Planning a Practice (4 hours)
Module 2 = Teaching & Learning, Ethics (4 hours)
Module 3 = Technical and Tactical(8 hours)

BadOnt may implement a no-refund or partial refund policy if a attendee cancels within seven days of the start of the clinic. This information will be posted at the time of registration of the clinic.
High Performance Player and International Player or International Coach Equivalencies for NCCP
Badminton Ontario has had inquiries about certifying HP players, International Players, and International Coaches who are coaching in Ontario. The Badminton Ontario Coaching Committee (BOCC) has approved these guidelines:

International Coacheswith formal coaching credentials who wish to apply for an equivalency for NCCP courses
- can contact the BOCC in writing to have their credentials reviewed.
- Upon receipt of the credentials, the applicant will be given a three month temporary coaching card to coach on court at non-Championship BadOnt sanctioned tournaments.
- Within the three months, the Making Ethical Decisions course via CAO must be completed regardless of the content of the submitted credentials.
- The BOCC will respond to the applicant within the three months as to which equivalencies will be granted.
