Southeast Christian Fellowship Church (SECF) is a Scripture-focused body of believers who gather for the purpose of glorifying God, equipping disciples, and telling the world about the work of Christ as Redeemer. SECF is Christ Centered, Purpose Driven, whose mission is to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ through creative ministry to foster spiritual growth while building Christian character resulting in a positive impact on our community. Our purpose is to spread the Good News of salvation by grace, and to build the Church through Discipleship, Evangelism, Worship, Fellowship, and Ministry. We are seeking a Part-time Pastor, who has been born again and baptized in the Trinity, who can give leadership to our ministry vision and purpose.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess, or be a candidate for, at least a Master of Divinity Degree from an accredited theological seminary or university, and significant related experience in church ministry leadership (e.g., Assistant Pastor, Associate Minister, Youth Minister, or equivalent). All Candidates must be licensed and ordained (or a candidate for ordination). The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:

  • The ability to prepare and deliver Biblically sound and inspirational sermons led by the Holy Spirit.
  • Personal character and financial standing must be above reproach both inside and outside the church, as stated in 1 Timothy 3. The Candidate must possess a strong commitment to family.
  • A heart for discipleship and the ability to provide strong Bible-based teaching and study that is relevant, engaging, and understandable.
  • A strong grasp and passion for doctrine and theology to equip the flock to contend for and defend the faith.
  • A deep passion for the caring and shepherding of the flock.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective conflict resolution.
  • Accessibility and sensitivity to the physical, spiritual, cultural and socio-economic needs of all members of the congregation.
  • A vision for developing and growing church membership that is strongly rooted in the Word of God.
  • A commitment to growing and encouraging the spiritual development of children, youth, young adults, and families in the congregation.
  • An openness to consider new ideas and approaches, including an openness to different worship styles and ministries.

Responsibilities:

  • The Teaching and Preaching of God's Word.
  • To love and care for the congregation on a consistent basis by getting acquainted with all members and assisting them with their physical and spiritual needs as needed.
  • Provide spiritual oversight and care for the church family; helping and encouraging believers to develop and use their spiritual gifts and their talents.
  • Work with the Deacons in maintaining a spiritually healthy church, and with the church leadership to effectively and efficiently manage the church's resources.
  • Demonstrate Godly leadership and wisdom in planning worship services, church events, and working with church committees, lay leaders, and volunteers.
  • Provide Pastoral care such as officiating funerals and weddings, providing short term counseling, and visiting the home-bound and hospitalized.
  • Willing to support and attend church activities and events, and fellowship with outside church ministries.
