Parts of Speech: College Edition

First, you need to know the eight parts of speech. They are: noun, adjective, verb, adverb, conjunction, preposition, interjection, and pronoun.

Then you will be researching a college of choice with your group. You will need facts, information, pictures, and anything else that appeals to your group about the college. You must keep a citation for each resource you use; use your flipbook to help you.

Finally, you will pull the grammar and college information together by creating a college poster.

On the poster you will need:

  1. The definition of each part of speech
  2. Three examples of that part of speech, as they relate to your topic
  3. A sentence/fact about the college, and dissected and labeled for each part of speech.
  4. Pictures representing your college and what we need to know about it.
  5. A summary paragraph of your college. *May go on the back of the poster
  6. Works cited for the resources you use. *May go on the back of the poster
  7. All items should be clearly printed or hand written.
  8. Poster should be professional in appearance and worthy of being posted on the wall.
