NOTICE OF THE TRIANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING
The Triannual General Body Meeting of the Parsi Zoroastrian Anjuman of Secunderabad and Hyderabad will be held on Sunday 17th November 2013 at 5:00 PM at Bai Pirojbai Chenoy Hall, Prendergast Road, Secunderabad, when the following Agenda will be taken up for consideration:-
1. To confirm the minutes of the General Body Meeting held on 21st November 2010.
2. To adopt the report of the Managing Committee and pass the Audited statement of Accounts for the financial years ending March 31, 2011; 2012 & 2013.
NOTE : As per the resolution passed at the General Body Meeting held on December 17, 1988, it was resolved that the Statement of the Audited Accounts will not be sent to the members in future and that the said statement of audited accounts be made available for inspection to members 15 days prior to the General Body meeting. The statements of audited accounts for the years mentioned above are available at the Anjuman office for inspection by members. Members interested in inspecting the said accounts may do so on any working day during office hours.
3. To elect members of the Managing Committee in place of :
(a) Mr. Mehernosh H. Chenoy
(b) Mr. Petarasp A. Nalladaru On the expiration of their term
(c) Mr. Jehangir D. Batliwalla of office as members of the
(d) Mr. Kerfegar B. Antia Managing Committee.
(e) Mr. Aspi S. Debara
NOTE: Members of the Managing Committee are elected in place of all outgoing members in pursuance of Clause 9(b) of the Declaration of Trust.
Nominations for the election of the Members of the Managing Committee eligible for election shall be presented to the office of the Parsi Zoroastrian Anjuman of Secunderabad and Hyderabad, 125, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Secunderabad – 500 003, before 12:00 Noon on 6th November, 2013. Nomination shall be duly proposed and seconded and countersigned by the nominee signifying his/her consent. Nomination forms will be accepted in the prescribed form only which are available at the Anjuman Office.
4. To approve increasing Management charges from 5% to 15% for handling behest accounts.
Explanatory Note: The Management charge has remained at 5% from the inception of the Anjuman. Expenses have grown substantially in terms of providing additional staff, strengthening Security services and there has been a sizeable increase in the cost of living index. The Auditor of the Anjuman viz. M/s. R. Subramanyam & Co. Chartered Accountants has concurred with the Anjuman’s recommendation for increasing the Management charges from 5% to 15%.
Approval of the General Body is sought for increasing the Management charges from 5% to 15% which is to be implemented from the financial year 2013-2014.
5. To appoint Auditors for the next three years.
Explanatory Note: Our Auditors M/s. R. Subramanyam & Co. Chartered Accountants have been rendering excellent service and have also given sound and proper guidance in all financial matters and they have been our Auditors for the past several years. It is recommended that they be appointed for the next 3 financial years i.e. 01/04/2013 to 31/03/2014; 01/04/2014 to 31/03/2015 and 01/04/2015 to 31/03/2016.
6. Any other business with the permission of the Chair, provided a notice in writing has been given to the Hon. Secretary regarding the subject before 12:00 Noon on 6th November 2013.

A Member who has been residing at Secunderabad / Hyderabad within the radius of 50 Kms. From the Khan Bahadur Seth Edulji Sohrabji Chinoy Anjuman Dar-e-Meher, Secunderabad and has been a subscriber to any of the Anjuman funds for a year preceding the General Body Meeting hereby convened, of a sum not less than Rs.12/- per annum, is alone entitled to vote at the meeting.

REPORT OF THE MANAGING COMMITTEE
Dear Members,
It gives us great pleasure to place before you at this Triannual General Body Meeting, the Report and the Statement of Accounts duly audited for the years ending March 31, 2011; 2012; 2013.
The last Triannual General Body Meeting was held on Saturday 21st November 2010 at the Bai Pirojbai Chenoy Hall, Prendergast Road, Secunderabad.
The Report of the Managing Committee for the period April 1, 2007 to March 31, 2010 was adopted and the Audited Statement of Accounts for the financial years ending 2008, 2009, & 2010 were passed and confirmed.
A brief account of the events and activities since the last Triannual General Body Meeting are as under –
1. The Managing Committee Meetings are held regularly.
2. The Anjuman Dar-e-Meher was recently repaired and painted. The above jobs give a new look to the Agiary which has been appreciated by all those who visit the Agiary.
3. The Anjuman regularly carries out repairs and maintenance of all the Residential Blocks.
4. Recently the Anjuman undertook complete outside painting of Bapoo Baug and interlocking tiles were provided which gives a new look to the colony.
5. The Anjuman library continues to function well and is a source of relaxation for the members by its choice of good books and magazines.
6. The Dokhma at Zamistanpur is well looked after with adequate greenery, good roads, solar lighting and security. The solar concentrator is in working condition.
7. The Anjuman has from time to time provided financial aid to other smaller Anjumans and deserving individuals.
8. The Anjuman has also implemented Poverty Amelioration Scheme in which 15 members of the community are provided Rs.500/- per month.
9. A Jashan was performed on 28th November 2012 in which the Mobed Sahebs of all the Agiaries in the twin cities participated. This was followed by a Gahambar which was well attended by the members of the community. Opportunity was taken to release the updated version of the Zoroastrian Directory 2012 and the first copy was handed over to Mrs. Gool Plumber by our President, Mrs. Gulbanoo Y. Chenoy. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the quiz competition which appeared in the Newsletter of August 2012.
10. The Anjuman has implemented an Educational Encouragement Scheme and 24 students benefited from the scheme in which the Anjuman had sanctioned Rs.1,84,000/- in the academic year 2012-2013. Similarly 29 students undertook benefit of the scheme, an amount of Rs.2,27,000/- was disbursed by the Anjuman for the academic year 2013-2014.
11. A website www.pzash.org has been created for the benefit of the community members who can refer the website for obtaining details of the Anjuman.
12. A Facebook Page has been created under the name “Parsi Zoroastrian Anjuman of Secunderabad and Hyderabad” which is very informative with upto date information on community affairs.
13. With a view to increase the population of the community, the Anjuman has nominated the following two fertility centers/clinics in the twin cities.

The expenses incurred in this regard will be borne by the Bombay Parsi Panchayet on submission of bills and a letter from fertility centre for having received the treatment.
14. The Anjuman has received a donation of Rs.17,50,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakhs fifty thousand only) towards maintenance of Agiary and Rs.17,50,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakhs fifty thousand only) towards building blocks in memory of Mrs. Roshan and Minoo S. Patel and Avabai and Behram D. Chenoy from the Estate of Late Mrs. Roshan M. Patel.
15. The Trustees of late Ms. Mani J. Dadyseth have informed the Anjuman that an amount of Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees six lakhs only) has been bequeathed in the will of Late Ms. Mani J. Dadyseth to the Anjuman, which has since been received.
16. Our Anjuman whole heartedly supports the Zochilday celebration which is held every year in Mumbai with participants from all over the country.
17. The PZASH, Mirasan Trust, Hyderabad and the Bombay Parsi Punchayet have brought out schemes in which incentives are being given to Zoroastrians for the 2nd child and 3rd child. Details of the schemes are available at the Anjuman Office. The Anjuman has increased the child incentive scheme (payable one time) effective 1st May 2012.

18. We congratulate the members of the community who have received awards/prizes in various fields of sports, education, etc.
19. Three decades ago, Brig. Cyrus A Pithawalla was awarded the Ashok Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award for his “most conspicuous bravery” when leading a daring raid on a hideout of the People‘s Liberation Army. Recently, he was appointed as the General Officer Commanding of the Andhra Independent Sub-Area, Bollarum, Secunderabad. He was felicitated by the Anjuman at the Andhra Independent Sub-Area, Bollarum, Secunderabad and also by the Zoroastrian Club on New Year’s Day in August 2013.
20. The Managing Committee once again appeals to the community members particularly those who reside in and around the Anjuman Dar-e-Meher for attending the “Humbandagi” which is held on every Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
21. Our accounts for the financial years ending March 31, 2011; 2012; and 2013 have been audited by M/s. Subramanyam & Co. Chartered Accountants and the audited statement of accounts for the above three financial years are available for inspection by members at the office of the Anjuman on any working day during office hours and comments, if any, may be sent to the Hon. Secretary on or before 12:00 Noon, 6th November 2013.
22. The Managing Committee wishes to place on record the laudable services and help rendered by the members of our community in their individual and official capacities during the last three years thus enabling the progress made for the betterment of the Anjuman. The Managing Committee also places on record its appreciation for the loyal services rendered by the Mobed Sahebs, the staff of the Dar-e-Meher and the staff and workers of the Anjuman office.
23. We thank the Trustees of the Parsi Dharamshala, Bai Pirojbai Chenoy Hall and Jamshed Hall for putting the premises at the disposal of the Anjuman on various occasions for the meetings and functions of the Anjuman.
24. The Managing Committee mourns the passing away of the members who expired during this period and conveys their heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved families.
