Main Purpose of Post:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic leader to drive this important area ofactivities for The Sixth Form College – Birkenhead and Wirral Academy Trust. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing activities to meet the College’s and Wirral Academy Trust’s strategic objectives and, working closely with a dedicated team, will plan and lead the successful implementation of marketing strategies across the College’s and Trust’s operations.
The post provides a unique position which will enable experience to be gained with a Sixth Form College and Multi Academy Trust.
You will have a proven track record in leading a successful, creative and innovative marketing team ideally combined with a sound understanding of the education sector and be a strategic thinker who enjoys taking up new challenges. The postholder will be expected to have exceptional standards and high expectations of their team.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Marketing Strategy and Planning – to be responsible for all marketing activities including devising strategy, planning of activity and implementation across the College and all institutions within Wirral Academy Trust.
  • Advertising – to plan and manage advertising campaigns across a variety of media including press, print, digital, including social, outdoor, radio and direct mail.
  • Marketing Material – to be responsible for design, copy and production of all marketing material including College prospectus, newsletters and promotional leaflets.
  • Website – to be responsible for the management of College and School websites including content and overall design.
  • Social Media – to be responsible for the management of social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram; planning and devising engaging content and monitoring effectiveness.
  • Digital Communications – to be responsible for delivery of digital communications including digital newsletter and targeted emails.
  • Conversion Activity – to effectively plan and deliver offline and online strategies to ensure maximum conversion rates from application to enrolment.
  • Public Relations – to take responsibility for the planning and delivery of public relations campaigns in the local media.
  • Reporting – to ensure that marketing activity is evaluated, tracked, optimised, reviewed and reported to Senior Management.
  • Relationship Management – to effectively liaise with key stakeholders, as appropriate and manage third party suppliers.
  • Budget Management – to effectively and efficiently plan, manage and deliver activity within agreed budgets.
  • Line Management – to effectively line manage team members.
  • Event Management – to effectively plan, promote and manage events to support admissions and marketing events.

To be flexible and responsive and take on additional responsibilities and duties commensurate with the post, as directed by the Principal.
