Directions:SOUTHBOUND: Take I-5 to I-405 South. Take Burnside exit, go straight on (15th) to Salmon, turn right, and go through stoplight at 18th. MAC Club is on right and parking garage is on left.

NORTHBOUND: Take I-5 to I-405 North. Take Salmon St. exit. Merge onto 14th St. Go one block and turn left onto Taylor. Turn left onto 17th. Proceed on 17th to Salmon. Turn right onto Salmon. There may be parking available in the parking structure next to the club. Additional parking will be available- check with Security guards at main parking structure. There will be a charge to park $10.00 in the club’s parking structure or overflow parking structure.

Some street parking is available if club parking structure is closed. There are no accommodations for camping or campers. Parking may be available adjacent to club.

Course: Indoor 4-foot 1 inch depth at start and turn end of pool, six 7-foot lanes, 25 yard pool with non-turbulent lane lines. Daktronics timing system with strobe/horn start and Colorado scoreboard along with Meet Manager software will be utilized. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4). A copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. Concessions are available on the B level of the Club at Joe’s. The facility is accessible to adaptive swimmers. There is a viewing area for spectators on the mezzanine level. POOL DECK IS FOR SWIMMERS, COACHES, OFFICIALS AND TIMERS ONLY. Swimmers are limited to the pool area and concession areas only.

Time: Meet begins at 2:00 PM on Saturday with warm-ups 12:00-1:45 PM. Meet will begin at 9:00 AM on Sunday with warm-ups 7:30-8:45 AM.

Rules: Current USA and Oregon Swimming rules will govern the meet. Oregon Swimming warm up rules will apply. The meet will be pre-seeded. Entries are due Monday, Jan. 4, by 12 noon. All events are timed finals. In individual events, each team is allowed four (4) entries. In relay events, each team is allowed two (2) entries. Swimmers may compete in three (3) events plus two (2) relays per day. Each team is allowed 8 boys or 8 girls in each 11-12 or 13-14 age group. Age as of January 9, 2016.

Restrictions: Tobacco products of any kind, alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not allowed in the swimming venue. Swimmers and spectators are asked to stay in the pool and concession areas. Lawn and deck chairs are not permitted. No large coolers, only individual or small sized coolers will be allowed in the club. Swimmers and spectators should use the Athletic entrance of the Club.

Recording Devices & Media Notice: The use of audio-visual recording devices, including cell phones, are not permitted in locker rooms, changing areas or restrooms. Recording devices are not permitted behind the starting blocks during the starting sequence during the meet. This meet may be covered by the media, including photographs, video, web casting and other forms of obtaining images of athletes participating in the meet. Entry into the meet is acknowledgement and consent to this fact.

Swimwear: Swimwear must conform to USA Swimming Rule 102.8. Only swimsuits complying with FINA swimsuit specifications may be worn in any USA Swimming sanctioned or approved competition.

Deck Changing:Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited.

Racing Start Certification: Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Team lanes:There will be 2 heats of relay events (Heat 2 fastest), “B” relay heat followed by “A” relay heat.

There will be 3 heats of individual events swimming slowest to fastest. Lanes 2-5 are assigned lanes for swimmers 1,2,4 in each team. 3rd fastest swimmer for each team will be placed in lanes 1 and 6 as shown below. If there are no more than 12 swimmers, the 4th fastest swimmers will be placed in available lanes in heat 2 or 3, hence eliminating the slowest heat.

Certifications:All coaches and deck officials must be current USA Swimming members.

Eligibility: All-Star teams from Pacific Swimming (PC), Pacific Northwest (PN), Southern California Swimming (CA), and Oregon (OR). Must be 2016 members of USA Swimming.

Scoring: Individual events: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Relay events: 18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2 (One relay from each LSC scores before a second relay from an LSC scores.)

Hospitality: Refreshments will be provided for officials and coaches. Snacks and drinks will be provided to timers.

Admission: Free.

Saturday Dinner: All teams will have dinner, hosted by Oregon Swimming, at the Multnomah Club following the Saturday afternoon session.
