I.The meeting was called to order by Mike Boven. The minutes of last

meeting were read & approved

II.Nominee for Maintenance Professional of the Year is Harry “Chris” Farley. This was approved unanimously by all attendees present.

III.REVIEW OF PUMP SELECTION SEMINARS: Evaluations were averaged and given to Mike Boven for distribution. Average score in all categories was above 4. Most comments were positive.

IV.OPERATOR DAY UPDATE: Ken Colston reported that the slide shows & notes for “Pump Station Maintenance”, “Valves & Gates”, and Instrumentation” had been submitted & approved by MDNRE. The slides & narrative for “Confined Space Entry” is in final edit by Scott Robinson of YCUA, getting the timing down to 45-minutes. Maintenance Committee presentations have been planned for presentation at Operator’s Day for the next three years.

V.MAINTENANCE 101 CLASSES: The WEF Training Module project is underway, Tim Sullivan, Mike Boven, Earl Kenzie, Matt Prosoli, and Ken Colston are acting as “Subject Mater Experts” on the project. Paul Goergen is being sought to participate as a SME as well. The Maintenance classes, Maintenance I & II are due to be completed by March 1st, 2011.

VI.SPRING SEMINAR UPDATE: MDRE has approved the agenda for CEC’s. Tim Sullivan has the lead and is writing & scheduling the presentation. Vendor companies are being sought for sections of the presentation and demonstration. Everyon present offered t help Tim as needed.

VII.FALL SEMINAR UPDATE: MDNRE has approved the agenda for CEC’s. Ken Colston reported that the presentation is 90% ready, logistics of scheduling the session(s) and assembling the hand-on portion of the presentation are all that remains.

VIII.Mike Boven & Ken Colston will prepare AWWA & MWEA articles for the MATTERS magazines
