Remnant College Ministry Strategic Intent

Vision & Mission Statement

To encourage college-aged partners to reach out to other college/vocational student peers in developing and enhancing their walk with Christ through the Word of God.

Foundational Scripture:

Ephesians 2: 4-5

4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Romans 12:4-5

4 But what does the divine response say to him? “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”[a] 5 Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

To recruit, retain, and train college-aged students to outreach and spread the Word of God.

Strategies:

Identify appropriate partners at Showers of Blessings

Peer and Relationship building activities

Collaboration with internal ministries and other college ministries or organizations

Develop a Standard Operating Procedures Manual

Develop and Evaluation Tool for ministry

Community Service Projects

Hold Outreach events such as Jump Off, public events

Implement business protocols (meetings and agendas)

To continue to recruit, retain, and train 75 college-aged/vocational students.

Strategies:

Recruit at UF, Santa Fe, City College, Job Corp and other educational institutions: Greek organizations, Christian collegiate organizations, Bread Ministry, Job Corp Council

Identify partners who serve as liaisons with the colleges and schools.

Bible based fellowship (Bible Study, prayer, principles)

Continue to identify appropriate partners at Showers of Blessings

Continuous Peer and Relationship building activities

Mentoring and modeling

Collaboration with internal ministries and other college ministries or organizations: hold an event quarterly

Conduct training opportunities and workshops

Update Standard Operating Procedures Manual

Establish a Remnant Youth Ministry with linkages to the colleges/universities and high school.

Strategies:

·  Establish partnerships with Santa Fe, City College, Job Corp and other educational institutions

·  Establish internal structure for high school students

·  Conduct age appropriate workshops and training

·  Collaborate with other churches, schools, community, and colleges

·  Provide opportunities to allow youth to minister

·  Update SOP

·  Create fellowship opportunities outside of the church

·  Rotation schedule

·  1 Year Committal Agreement with ministry, parents and youth

·  Annual Conference/Production to showcase youth ministry
