Notice to LiPACE Students

OUHK’s Policy on the Use of Email as a Major Means of Communication

From 1 October 2004, email will be the main form of communication between University staff and students. All academic and administrative information will be sent to your University email address as far as it is applicable. It is therefore vital that you check your email account frequently and manage it well.

Provision of email accounts

For your study in the current course, you will be given an email account. The email account will be available until one month after the completion of your course(s) in LiPACE.

If you have already had an OUHK email account, you can continue to use that account for your study of OUHK credit-bearing courses.

Your email address

A student’s email address is in the form:

‘s’ + first seven digits of your student (e.g. )

How to access your email account

http://www.ouhk.edu.hk ->Students->Communication->Email

You will need to enter your Username and Password:

Username: ‘s’ + first seven digits of your student number

Password: the Single Password you have created (note: this password gives you access to all of the OUHK’s Internet services).

If you are a new student, you will need to create a Single Password:

http://www.ouhk.edu.hk ->Students->IT Support->Create Your Single Password

If you want to change your password, follow the same procedure as creating a password.
