Statement of Purpose: The purpose of this event is to bring a sense of family to the Biscayne community and also introduce the residents of Biscayne to the members of the Lee county community. It is going to be a mentoring opportunity on April 21st 2018 at 11 till 2pm. This Event shows the current college students of FGCU the impact that their action have on the young members of society. We plan to have student volunteers paired with those from the Best Buddies Organization. We are considering making this a service learning program for those who volunteer. The event will also be a carnival for those who decide not to volunteer.

Date: August 5, 2018 at Florida Sheriffs Youth Camp in Deland, FL

Statement of purpose: Camp Kesem is a Registered Student Organization that is a nationally recognized Non-Profit Organization that send kids to camp for seven days, all inclusive. The kids we send to camp have had a parent who has been affected by cancer. Camp Kesem would love to have RHA sponsor the funds for our summer 2018 camp T-shirts. The first shirt we are requesting is the white Tee for our Campers to Tie-dye during one of our many activities through the week. The navy shirt we are requesting is for our campers to take home to wear to represent all the memories they have made with Camp Kesem at Florida Gulf Coast University. As a sponsor for Camp Kesem at Florida Gulf Coast University, RHA will be invited to Friends and Family day on April 28, 2018, be invited to come to our visitor’s day at our camp on August 10, 2018 to interact and see the magic at Camp and will receive a banner created by our campers to show their appreciation.

  • There are two of these at UM and UF and we thought it would work great, we also got a lot of votes towards FGCU helping out the community the most and encouraging us to help out and start. There are kids that look forward to the camp and it benefits so many people involved with the program
