Job Description

Training & Support Administrator

Main Purpose:

To work with the Support Manager to identify, organise and monitor the quality of the induction and training needs of operational staff ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies standards and frameworks within the designated financial budget.

To assist in the administration of the support department

Responsible to:

Service Manager

Key Responsibilities:

·  To operate at all times within the best interests of the organisation.

·  The identification of and adherence to industry best practice and Government standards for training in the care sector.

·  To organise and book delivery of annual and induction training plans for individuals and for the organisation.

·  To record and evaluate learning needs and training outcomes.

·  The sourcing and monitoring of internal and external trainers and assessors to meet the training needs of individuals and the organisation

·  To assist in the administration of the support department including entering training and customer attendance data

Responsibilities:

·  To comply with the Key Performance Indicators developed in conjunction with the Service Manager.

·  To maintain and promote the status of the organisation as a high quality provider of care, support and training for people with learning disabilities.

·  To organise quality training in consultation with the Senior Management Team.

·  To attend all internal and external meetings as requested by the Senior Management team.

·  To respond to the needs identified by the performance review system for staff.

·  To organise and contribute to the induction programme for new employees.

·  To maintain all training records.

·  To maintain high standards of confidentiality in line with written procedures.

·  To assist the Health & Safety Administrator to contribute to health, safety and the well being at Orwell Mencap – Genesis – including refilling the first aid boxes.

·  To take part in all required training.

·  To carry out any other duty to deemed necessary by the Senior Management Team to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of Genesis – Orwell Mencap.
