UKTI in association with the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB)is developing anMarket Intelligence Study on Leveraging Opportunities in the Indian Civil Aerospace Industry. The main objective of this study is aimed at providing UK Aerospace companies a comprehensive opportunity mapping report of the Indian market. For this purpose, potential futures for the regulatory environment and market development of the civil aerospace industry in India will be evaluated by an expert panel comprising of both Indian and foreign experts using the Delphi method. The final report will also include interviews with Industry practitioners, case studies, success stories, future scenario analysis and strategies that will help UK companies win business in India.
The key outcomes of the study will be presented by Prof. Dr. Roger Moser, Professor-IIBMat a number of briefings to be held in the UK from 12 – 16 January 2015. Prof. Moser will also share his experiences and expertise in working with Indian and foreign aerospace companies in helping them enter/expand in the Indian market.
Presenting alongside Prof. Moser will be industry representatives from a company with a presence in India such as Airbus, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, TATA Technologies and UTC Aerospace Systems. These industry representatives will present their perspective on opportunities and possible collaboration.
Venkatesh Janakiram, Senior Trade & Investment Adviser from the Deputy High Commission in Bangalore will provide aerospace sector overview and the role of UKTI in helping UK companies in this journey.
The briefings will also provide information on the forthcomingAerospace Sector Mission to Indiawhich will take place in Bangalore alongside the Aero India exhibition in February 2015.
