Pennsylvania State Police “Come Get to Know Us Day”

The Pennsylvania State Police Recruitment and Special Services Section will be holding a “Come Get to Know Us Day” at the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, 175 East Hersheypark Drive, Hershey, Pa 17033. The open house will be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2015 from 12:00 – 4:00.

This event is an opportunity for anyone considering a career with the Pennsylvania State Police to visit our training academy, meet members of our department and see equipment displays and demonstrations. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn what qualifications are required to become a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper, Liquor Control Enforcement Officer, Motor Carrier Enforcement Officer and Police Communications Officer. The State Civil Service Commission will be available to answer questions on how to apply for civilian positions within the Department as well.

The following is a schedule of events:

12:00 – start of event

*Police Displays on parade field 12:00 - 4:00

*Guided tours of the training academy, 12:30-1:30-2:30-3:30.

1:00 – Gym, presentation to include PRT (Physical Readiness Test) demo, cadet workout routine demo (1 Hour)

2:00 – Lecture Hall, Recruiter speech– video, question / answer opportunity (1 Hour)
