I.  System Specifications

a.  Hardware

1)  PC requirements: Dual-Core Processor 4000+, 2.11GHz, 2GB memory

2)  Mobile device model: WF720

3)  Data line type: USB data line

4)  USB transmission speed: 2.0

5)  USB A Male to USB A Male cable (not included with device)

b.  Software

1) Operating System: Windows® XP (32-bit), Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) and Windows 8 & 8.1 (32-bit or 64-bit).

2) Upgrade package software version: WF720 1.6.0

II.  Directions

Downloading the PC Update Software

1. Make sure your PC is on and connected to the internet.

2. Using an internet browser, navigate to: http://www.zteusa.com/wirelesshomephoneupdate

3. Click “Download One-Click Tool”.

4. If your PC prompts you with a window similar to the one shown below, click Yes to proceed:

5. The following window listing the device upgrade steps will appear.

6. The tool will then automatically install the required drivers; please wait until the software completes this process.

7. The tool will then show the message below and is ready for the Wireless Home Phone to connect to the PC.
Note: Please continue reading before connecting your Wireless Home Phone to your PC or clicking OK.

8. Disconnect any corded or cordless handsets from the Phone 1 and Phone 2 ports on the back of the Wireless Home Phone device.

9. With the Wireless Home Phone connected to a power outlet and powered On, use a USB-A to USB-A cable (not included) to connect the Wireless Home Phone to your PC.

10. Once connected, click the OK button on the message window to continue with the process.

11. When the tool automatically identifies the Wireless Home Phone device, it will read and display the current firmware version near the bottom of the window.

12. You can then click the UPDATE button on the right side of the main window to start the process.

13. After a successful update, the tool will display the following pop-up window. Click the OK button to complete the process.

14. You can now close the upgrade tool application by clicking the red X in the top right corner of the main window.

III.  Notes

1.)  On a Windows 7 system, you must run this tool as Administrator. Instead of double-clicking to launch the tool, right-click the tool to run as Administrator.

2.)  Do not switch off your computer or start any other applications until the update is complete.

3.)  If your computer goes to sleep, standby, or hibernates during the update, the update will fail and your Wireless Home Phone may become unusable. Make sure your computer and WF720 are connected to main power during the upgrade process.

4.)  Do not insert or remove any USB devices until the update is complete.
