Dear Partners and Alumni:
The Texas A&M School of Public Health Office of Public Health Practice cordially invites your organization to participate in the 2018 Spring Practicum Fair. The Practicum Fair provides the opportunity to visit with current graduate students seeking a practicum/internship experience as part of their curriculum requirements.
A planned, supervised and evaluated field experience is a very important element of our graduate curriculum. It provides students with an opportunity to apply the concepts, strategies and tools acquired throughout their classroom studies in a mentored and supported environment with public health professionals. The 2018 Spring Practicum Fair is scheduled for Friday, February 9, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the AgriLife Center (http://agrilife.org/agrilifecenter/) on the Texas A&M Campus in College Station, Texas. We are excited to host our Practicum Fair in this venue which will allow all organizations to be housed in a single area. Lunch will be provided for attendees.
We also recognize time constraints and travel budgets may prevent organizations from attending in person. If you are unable to attend in person we have two options to share information about opportunities with your organization. A limited number of virtual sessions will allow sites to connect remotely to the Practicum Fair at specified times to meet with interested students. In addition, we are happy to display and distribute information about practicum experiences with your organizations during the Practicum Fair in your absence.
