Cisterns/flushing tank
Flushing cisterns are used for flushing out water closet and
Urinal. These are made of porcelain. For Indian type WC cart iron
Flushing cisterns are commonly used.these are also available in
different shades matched with water closet.
Bidets
These are standard bathroom equipment commonly used in
European countries. These are used for cleaning purpose and are
highly recommended, if you have the space. These also made with
porcelain and ceramic and are available to match other bathroom
fixtures. Separate hot and cold water supply pipes are vented and
soil pipes are legal equipment.
Urinals
These are for men and are available in different colours.
Toilets: Toilets are again classified as
- One peace toilet – In this types water closet and flush tank are
available as a single peace.
- Two peace toilet – In this type water closet and flush tank are
available as separated piece
- wall face toilet – In these type water closet is fixed parallel to the
wall.
- Wall hung toilet – In these types flush tank is close to the pan
and flushing cistern and other joineres are concealed behind the
wall

Wash basin
Besides ceramic washbasins,porcelain stoneware, glass and
meallic basins are also available. Ordinary basins are, mounted on a
bracket fixed in a wall while pedastyle types are mounted on pedestal
rising from wall. Decorative and vanity basins are also available. These
are available with 2 traps, one for hot water and the other for cold water
they have an ovel shaped bowl with an overflow slot at the top. The
waste pipe is with metallic strainer andis provided at the bottom and
the mouth of outlet is provided with brass or nickel grating. There
shoud be 100mm basins and 60mm from center to center. The top of
the rim of the basin is about 75 to 78.5 cm above from the floor level.
TAPS
These are mainly made of metal like brass. These are available
in accractive shapes and colours. A mixed tap will have asingle hole
fitting, with 1 tap and 2 knobs to control the temperature of water.The
monobolic taps are single taps, one for the cold and one for the hot
water. Bath taps for hot water shoud not be less than 5/8” or 15mm bore
and for all lavotary taps bore shoud not be less than 3/8” or bare.
