General information:

-Elective residents may be required to do call

-Learning and operating priorities are given to UofO residents according to seniority – however, UofO residents are away on Wednesday afternoons (noon – 5pm) for academic half day, and you will likely be the only learner

-You are welcome to join for academic half day

-There are scheduled journal clubs – you are welcome to attend

-There is a francophone hospital, L’Hopital Montfort. There are 11 generalist ob/gyns. Gyne and OB experience is saturated with UofO residents – your surgical role in a gyne elective would consist largely of observation; you would be required to do call and cover floor issues. However, if you are looking for an ambulatory francophone experience, it is an excellent group to work with.
