OASIS Telecommunications Member Section Steering Committee Nominees:
1. Michael Giordano, Director of Application Architecture and SOA, Avaya
Michael J. Giordano, is the Director of Application Architecture and SOA with the Avaya Chief Technology Organization and is leading efforts for IP/ Telephony convergence and embedding communications technology throughout enterprise systems for strategic business advantage. Michael has spent more than 20 years spear heading the design and development of systems and the commercialization of packaged technology services across key industry sectors. Previously, Michael is was a vertical CTO for CSC and was responsible for the development and delivery of technology solutions, both internally and on behalf of clients in enterprise architecture, applications and infrastructure outsourcing engagements for Government clients. Mr. Giordano has also served as Director of Architecture for responsible for creating the Enterprise Architecture for the alignment of multi-channel insurance e-commerce/business vision with its software and technology architecture to support new market opportunities, client relationships and improved customer satisfaction. Mr. Giordano holds an M.S. in Software Engineering from Monmouth University and a B.A. in Business/Mathematics from Rutgers University.
Mr. Giordano confirms his ability to meet the time commitments of the position and strongly supports industry standardization of WS telecom interfaces to foster wide spread adoption and ease of use. Standardization in this area is good for both consumer and the producer of those communications services.
2. ENRICO RONCO, Project Manager, Telecom Italia
Enrico will use his breadth of experience in the field of telecommunications to promote the development, adoption and use of the OASIS standards in the Telecom industry. Enrico has relationships with various SDOs such as the TM Forum and he will be instrumental in establishing reciprocal working relationships with these organizations to better serve the Telecom industry. He will also provide guidance to the OASIS Telecom Member Section Steering Committee regarding interactions with Telecom providers. Mr. Ronco’s experience as a Telecom provider will bring a unique perspective to the work being developed within the Member Section and will increase interaction with Telecom providers. His knowledge will be influential as the MS defines the technology requirements of the Telecom providers with the goal of creating a means for rapid deployment of new services that are capable of leveraging their Telecom infrastructure and increasing competitive advantages.
Enrico graduated with a Computer Science degree in 1990 and soon after started to work in telecommunications.
