I.Approval of Minutes from October 2012 Meeting- approved.

II.Albany Update from Weingarten, Reid & McNally (WRM) sent separately and summarized by Marcy.

III.2013 Lobby Day (3/4/13) Priorities Discussion

A)Opposition to Nurse Practitioner Proposal in Executive Budget

B)Opposition to Medical Malpractice Excess Proposal in Executive Budget

C)Support for Reproductive Health Act

D)Support for Collective Bargaining Legislation

E) Single Payer Legislation

IV.Old Business

A) Nurse Practitioner Strategy Discussion- Patient safety criteria proposed if we cannot defeat the proposal this year. Commission reviewed and proposal will be shared for Board consideration.

B) Medical Marijuana Update- see attached letter shared by Dr. Wetterau. Read and discussed by members but decision is to table issue for future discussion.

C) Update on Access to Medications in Jails Issue- see attached letter prepared by Drs. Wetterau, London and Price. Commission approved the letter with some minor changes and urges that it be sent to the State Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).

V.New Business

A)Discussion on NY Health Benefit Exchange and member questions/ concerns- One question raised for research by WRM: Are businesses required to cover families or just employed individual under ACA?
