Upcoming Staff Retirements
Our school has been privileged to have two excellent staff members for a number of years. They are teacher Gina Streisel and educational associate Sandy Knittig. Their dedication to our school, students and staff has been very appreciated. They both have gone over and above their expected duties. To thank them for their hard work and to show our appreciation, our staff will be holding a retirement tea on the evening of Thursday, June 18. Please mark your calendars so you can join us in this celebration. More details will be conveyed through the school newsletter, as the date gets closer.
THE HEALTH PROMOTING SCHOOLS PROGRAM presents Tropical Day on June 10. All students and staff are encouraged to dress in their tropical gear! Homemade salsa and smoothies will be followed by some fun dancing to get everyone moving. The draw for the Wellness Wednesday bike will also take place.

2015/2016 KINDERGARTEN PRE-REGISTRATION
Vanscoy School would like to hear from parents who have a child beginning Kindergarten in Vanscoy this fall. The child must be the age of 5 by December 31, 2015.
Pre-registration is necessary
in order to have all
programming and staffing
in place.
Just call the school office at 668-2056.
We will be asking for your child’s name, birth date, gender, mailing and land location addresses, plus your contact names and numbers. Shortly thereafter, registration packages will be mailed to your home.
Please don’t delay. We look forward to hearing from you.

ACTIVITY/SPECIAL EVENT FEES: A $30/student activity fee is requested each school year and is now overdue. Send either a cheque or exact change to the school with your child. The school office will issue a receipt. Please call the school if you are unsure of your payment status. 306-668-2056

SPRING BAND CONCERT The Beginner, Junior, Senior and Jazz bands will be holding their Spring Concert at Delisle Composite School on May 27th from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Try to attend and show our support for this important event. You’ll hear how much they have improved!
READ TO WIN A BIKE CONTEST Here is how it works. Students will fill out a book report for their grade level, for every book they read from now until May 29th. The student with the most book reports filled out, signed by a parent/teacher and handed in by May 29th will get a chance to win a bike with helmet. VANSCOY SCHOOL AND VANSCOY VILLAGE JOINT VENTURE
Our school and Vanscoy Village are seeking local sponsors for the Disc Golf playing field that will be installed during the spring of 2015. Location will be on the Village and school grounds. For a $500 donation (or more), sponsors will see their business advertised at one of the holes. If you would like to be a part of this great joint endeavor or have questions, please call
