John Pimanda is Head of Pathology and Professor of Medicine at UNSW Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and College of Pathologists, Australasia and a haematologist at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. Following the award of his PhD at UNSW in 2004, he undertook post-doctoral research at the University of Cambridge as an RG Menzies/CJ Martin research fellow. He returned in 2008 to set up a research program in stem cell biology, cancer and tissue regeneration at UNSW and POWH and now directs the Adult Cancer Program at the Lowy Cancer Research Centre and the Randwick Campus. / Professor John Pimanda

Clinical Associate Professor Rosemary Balleine trained as an Anatomical Pathologist, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 1999. In the course of her Pathology training she completed a PhD in breast cancer research at the University of Sydney. The majority of her post-graduate career has been involved in translational cancer research, particularly focused on breast cancer. A/Prof Balleine is currently a research group leader in Cancer Pathology at the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) at Westmead. In this role she is involved in ProCan: the ACRF Centre for the Proteome of Human Cancer. The goal of ProCan is complete comprehensive proteomic profiling of cancer tissues to support advances in research and diagnostics. / Associate Professor Rosemary Balleine

Professor Boon Chua commenced in her new role as Director of Cancer and Haematology Services of the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre at the Prince of Wales Hospital and UNSW Sydney on 22 November 2016. She was Staff Specialist in Radiation Oncology since 2002 and Director of Breast Service at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne.
Dr Chua leads an expanding program of academic oncology research focusing on breast cancer, in collaboration with major cooperative clinical trials groups worldwide. She is Chief Investigator of multiple competitive grant-funded, national and international clinical trials of breast cancer underpinned by innovative biological and patient experiences research.
Dr Chua was trained in health care leadership at the Harvard Business School, and has held a diverse range of leadership positions in the Breast International Group, Union for International Cancer Control Expert Panel for Breast Cancer, European Society of Medical Oncology, European Breast Cancer Conference Scientific Advisory Committees, ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group, Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Project. / Professor Boon Chua
